Taylor Swift thinks of 13 as her lucky number and has some connections with Friday the 13th: "I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro
did you get your Godspeed You! Black Emperor tickets yet?
Already saw them in September. Personal favorite concert. Or are you just trying to bait me because you yourself are NOT a fan of Godspeed? Whatever, GYBE thread either way
Saw them in October, great experience.
I feel like Gathering Storm (and all of LYSF for that mater, still really like it though) gets a bit overrated by people, but it was fantastic live.
>that kid whose iPod was filled only with guitar hero songs
>ITT: Albums you couldn't possibly comprehend on first listen.
Is there any good bands that came out of this country?
Anyone up for a Chart Thread?
Rate, Rec, and Make assumptions about each other.
You have an odd sense of humor that many of your friends don't get
Looking for recs from this year since I haven't listened to many new releases.

If this had come out in 1967, how would Brian and the gang have followed it up?

This is MINE.
Compliments only, please.
fans of experimental and electronic music, I would like to know what your favorite books are.
Don't read a whole lot but my favorite book by far is 120 Days of Sodom. Reading a book right now called The Conspiracy Against the Human Race by Thomas Ligotti and trying to into more pessimistic philosophy stuff.
this is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. I was thinking about reading marquie de sade but it sounds like it's from an old english dialect which would be difficult to read.
Post albums mentioned solely to bolster someone's eclecticism/credibility on a genre they know next to nothing about.
Oh yeah I love Coil... The Ape Of Naples, Love's Secret Domain, I could go on...
pic related > any other album of the 90s.
>Listen to me
>Don't let go
>Don't let this desperate moonlight leave me
>With your empty pillow
>Promise me the South will rise again
fucking dropped. why do you guys worship this racist shit?
I think I'm going to stop coming to /mu/. I just listened to this because you guys talk about it all the time, and the only good song on it is the title track. All the other songs are just edgy songs about sex - which is probably why so many heavily-bearded, thick-rimmed-glasses wearing coffee drinking college kids obsess over the album. (Sung to basic bitch acoustic guitar strumming I might add.)
I'll give the guy that he's a decent lyricist, and the wording was clever and all, but how about a little variety to the lyrics? Also, I found his voice to be...
