anyone else think Like Woah sounds like Alright by Kendrick?
also kek at the drums from Amazing
You're least favorites are my favorites and vice versa. Also are Contact and City lights Kanye samples (So Amazing and Flashing Lights respectively). I have only heard it once so far but the album does seem an improvement. The whole space concept is a little bit corny but I don't mind it too much.

Beat me to it so the drums are from amazing thought so.
Alright so I haven't been paying much attention this year. My favorite releases that I have heard are
Rustie - EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE
Arca - Mutant
Oneohtrix Point Never - G.O.D
Can you recommend me good music from this year?

>Sick of kpop / grimes taking over the board for no apparent reason
>Grimes releases new album
>Only mentions of it are shit posting / bait
Well, /mu/, what do you think about it?
its honestly fine. I like it more than visions. I truly like probably 4 or 5 songs out of the 14. there are 3 or 4 that I can't listen to because i dislike them so much and the rest are pretty bland.
songs I actually like are Flesh Without Blood, Art Angels, Pin and REALiTi.

I think this guy is pretty right. It's pretty decent, has some good tracks, nothing to get in a tizzy over though.
Huge letdown. It's not exactly bad. It's just not what I expected from Grimes in a bad way. I would probably ignore this album if it was released by anyone else or she released it as a side project. If this is the direction she's going in I'm pretty disappointed.
She ruined Realiti.
At what point does sampling stop being "stealing"?
And don't give me the obvious music licensing/royalty answer.

When the sample is reincorporated into a new work
It's stealing when used in rap music. Make of that whatever you will.
As long as you give the artist(s) credit, it's not stealing. It's that simple

yako is probably my all-time favorite vocalist
how you liking it?
>Always start with the first album.
Do people really believe this shit?
Yes you can't fully appreciate later masterpieces without having the context of the artists progression
Music should not be formulaic, nor should the listening be.
>>60358881
I listen to music to have fun, not read an artist's autobiography.
Post an album and then describe its target demographic. I'll start: Ys is for nerds that masturbate to world of Warcraft.
Good thread, OP

Stop trying to make this a thing.

Liberal arts school girls who drink herbal tea and write bad poetry about nature. Great album, though.
I'm the guy that basically only listens to video game music, can you recommend me some shit?
I like Pink Floyd, The Police, and I like to listen to SOAD from time to time for nostalgia.
My favorite Pink Floyd song is Welcome to the Machine, and my favorite song from The Police is a tie between Roxanne and Synchronicity.
I also like the Gorilliaz, but only D-days, everything else is too rappy for me.
As for J-rock I like Nightmare (shame they look like utter faggots) and Maximum the Hormone. The latter has a pretty unique style that I've liked for over...
