hey /mu/, I'm new to playing shoegaze. I have been working on this track with my boyfriend, and I was wondering if any of you guys have any mixing advice? Thanks, I would really appreciate it :)

Sup /mu/,
So I'm almost 20 years old, and I'm looking to get into music. I've honestly never really shown interest in any kind of music until now, I mostly listen to whatever's on the radio, or just nothing at all.
Anyway, what kinds of artists should I look into? I really don't have any preferences whatsoever, I was just kinda hoping you guys could show me the best stuff from a few different genres and I'll go from there.
pic unrelated
well shit man, honestly you're starting really late. Give a listen to Reddit core, then mu core, decide which you like better, then go from there via related artists. Google them to get the chart.
Start with /mu/core
>Neutral Milk Hotel-In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
>Animal Collective-Merriwether Post Pavilion
>My Bloody Valentine-Loveless
>Radiohead-Kid A and OK Computer
Over time continue listening to more /mu/core albums and continue finding deeper music by looking in genres of /mu/albums you like.

If you genuinely have no experience then this chart is a pretty good starting place, especially for classical and jazz though the popular music sections leave a bit to be desired.
I wonder what it's like on LSD

Either that or this.
is this the most extreme thing to come out this year? it seems like with the technology we have these days, we can take cliches from pop music and deconstruct them to the point of postmodern oblivion. this shit is terrifying

>it seems like with the technology we have these days, we can take cliches from pop music and deconstruct them to the point of postmodern oblivion
You don't have to use technology to deconstruct art with postmodernism senpai
Also everything I see people using the word 'postmodernism' they don't seem to understand what it means baka
adding "deconstruct" and "postmodernism" doesn't make it good desu

It might be PC's opus. So gruesome. It left me feeling a bit carsick. LOVE IT

Hype thread
This year was a disappointment in literally everything, right up to Fallout. At least this may avoid being underwhelming if I don't hype.
