>Mike Love finds "Smile" too weird
>Yet he willingly helps make this shit
What do y'all think of this album? (Also, Beach Boys General, I guess).
Personally, I think this is better than many make it out to be. In fact, I actually enjoyed this on my first runthrough more than I did the Smile Sessions (although "Brian Wilson Presents Smile" seems like it might be the best of the three. Maybe my opinions would change once I relisten to them all later down the line).
Great album.
Yee great album, there are some good tunes on here that were never even intended for Smile. See: Little Pad. The songs that were intended for Smile are featured here in a stripped down style and, while I do prefer the Smile Sessions versions of most of these, the ones on here are still just great for what they are. Solid stuff.
>Mike Love finds "Smile" too weird
>Yet he willingly helps make this shit
He helped on both albums, anon. And all the Beach Boys thought Smile was weird, inclufding Brian Wilson.

i just got back from seeing one of my favorite local acts, and id been standing for the two openers and there was a big clearing on the ground so i figured i'd lie down for a little bit of the set
i was down there for maybe 3 minutes when a guy kicked me kind of hard and i figured i should get up, and it was hella awkward because i realized people were staring
i had my 3ds out and i figured thats why but i'm not quite sure b/c the sound was off and i was playing a fairly normie game (super smash bros. for the nintendo 3ds)
anyways...

no, it doesnt make any sense whatsoever
Write a short autobiography and some highlights of your life/how you got into music and others will guess what you listen to/rec music
>keyboard in house as child
>i like it
>music starts
My dad bought me an AC/DC album, Highway to Hell, when I was young. I instantly became a fan. The music was like nothing I have ever heard, and it was fantastic.
I kept on listening to heavy rock but it wasn't until I found Slipknot that I really became a music fan. Something about them really captured me (probably the masks). Wait and Bleed was one of the first songs to really blow me away.
However, it wasn't until I heard Endtroducing by DJ Shadow, that I really learned to appreciate music, and the album format. It might be cliché, but that album changed...

They played Pink Floyd at my uncles funeral. I think also had Division Bell on a shelf somewhere and he might showed me it. idk

Saw them live. Pretty fun.
Hot Fuss is actually a great album. And Mr. Brightside is a perfect song that makes me feel things. Great stuff.
>>60578618
Actually only Battle Born is a bad album for me
Even Day and Age has its moments (the last track is amazing)
This is beautiful. I find it hard to believe it's considered dubstep. I always thought dubstep was just loud trashy EDM for simpletons. Too many people like myself make that mistake about music all the time.
Got any recommendations?
