fuck pitchfork
Sorry, but since Conde Nast, it's no longer worth following Pitchfork.
Will the new Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes) cover get BNT?
That dissonant part in the middle was damn good, it'd be great if he made new Fleet Foxes music with that same style.
Who /unironicallylovesdadrock/ here?
I love all music but dad rock holds a special place for me because
a) I grew up listening to it with my actual dad
b) Bruce Springsteen resonated with me as a skinny teenage x-county nerd for some reason and
c) now that I'm an adult with a shit ton of outside stresses and responsiblities sometimes it's nice to have a huge genre of familar, chill music to fall back on. I still love putting on a good challenging album but if I'm driving home from work and it's been a long day there's nothing wrong with a little Jackson Brown or Hall & Oates...

I was listening to some Cream a couple days ago. Legitimately great band.
I love Boston and Styx. I don't know why, I just do. I have been trying to stop listening to dadrock but I can't. Considering deleting all dadrock so I can stay patrician.
Albums that need to get YOU before you can "get them"

that makes no sense
posting in shit thread
elaborate.
How do you guys cope with the feeling when you love an album, but the people who surround it are so cancerous that you start to lose love for it? it's happened with To Be Kind, TPAB, and Joanna Newsom (all of her work) for me and I don't know what to do
I start listening to albums for their music instead of trying to use it as an excuse to be cool or patrician or whatever shit you're trying to achieve.
