How big is your library (in terms of file size)? How many songs, artists, and albums do you have?
Plen here, my library is 45GB, 1848 songs, 140 albums, and 76 artists.
I've got 3 terabytes of 60's pre-ambient
800 gigs of live recordings of this local band called the fuckerfucks. They played only 2 shows before breaking up but I had 11 redundant recording rigs all recording flac which I then layered over one another for 25,000 kbps bitrate.
8 terabytes of the beatles. No not THOSE beatles, the new beatles. They haven't recorded an album yet and technically they're not really a band yet but they're indie-gospel-post-funk-punk style is going to be huge when you guys hear their stuff in about 5 years.

I'm glad someone else realizes how brilliant Hallowed Ground is, too bad I've never been able to find anything else that sounds like it
I never seem to be happy with the way my favorite albums are ordered in charts. Not even my Top 10. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Fucking plebs all of you for not recognizing this album
It's pretty good. Hated at first but it grew on me.
That Teeth of the Sea album is amazing. It's the best year-end list so far but it's missing Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma and Zs.

Discuss here the traditional and regional musics of Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. As I'm nowhere near intimately familiar with the musics of either country, the recommendations I can give are extremely preliminary and subject to change as we, together, explore more of their traditions.

Very comfy, christmassy. Doesn't really feel like it's giving a great look into Ukrainian folk traditions, though.
I'm at work and we unfortunately don't have any Ukrainian, Moldovan or Belarussian records. Instead i'm listening to this compilation of Bulgarian folk music and it's pretty neat. Features instrumental as well as vocal music.
I found some downloads for a nice album of Belarusian trad from folkways as well as a compilation called "Folk Music of the USSR" I'm curios to see if it will be actual folk songs from these countries or Soviet works songs and the such. Either way it should be interestng.
Shall we beat this or celebrate it?

I browsed through her best known tunes and I couldn't get past the "Quirky" obscure beats she has, so artisy and offbeat! omg!
What are some albums from the 2000s that were ahead of their time when comparing to today's music?
I would say Kid A by Radiohead
The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Daft Punk - Discovery
Why? - Alopecia

Hey /mu/, I think I've found my jam.
Can anyone recommend me more Swedish pop artists/bands? Preferably with female vocals. Something that sounds like pic related.
Doesn't have to be Swedish. It's just that there seem to be a lot of female artists surfacing there that produces great music (for me). Most of them have feminist messages but I don't really care about what the message of their music is supposed to be.
Most preferably if they're under the radar. Basically Indie Pop/Alternative/Electronic Pop with female vocals.
