I'm getting into Les Rallizes Denudes and I'm a bit confused, what releases do i get?
Are they some sort of con trying to make people think they're The Velvet Underground when it's really all made and released in the 90s?
their entire discog is bootlegs of live performances
they really performed this shit back in the day. One of the members almost participated in a coup or some shit and had to go underground.
Just start with Heavier than a Death in the Family and '77 Live
ITT: "Thats my favorite band!" red flags
>listening to songs sung in a language other than your native tongue
>not speaking more than one language
I WAS A YOUNG BOY
ITT: albums where the title track is the worst one
ITT: We make ghetto versions of album covers and other posters guess them
>get into conversation with some other musician
>he says he has to practice 24/7 but is managing to play perfectly
>was quite impressed, asked him what instrument he plays
>tells me "guitar"
>wonder if he was being serious about his instrument being hard
>turns out he was

Bought this album. I love cop but haven't listened to the other 3. I love swans other work though like children of god, to be kind, cop, and filth. (only albums of theirs i've listened to) Safe to say I'll like what I hear? I'm pretty open.
>listen to Teen Suicide albums
>see the band members live
>they all look like total fucking faggots
>can never enjoy it again
What the fuck
Post your 2016 predictions.
Also, someone should pull up some of the 2015 prediction threads from the archive and let's see if any of them were right.
This man is not a "legend"
I hate to disparage someone so soon after their death, but I take issue with the way people have chosen to remember him.
Eddie Vedder sings like Eddie Vedder because he is Eddie Vedder and cannot not sing like Eddie Vedder. Before Eddie Vedder, nobody in mainstream music was singing like Eddie Vedder. It was only after he became the most instant success out of all the 90's singers that people started to say, "Hey maybe I should go BWEHHHEHEAYYYEAHHHRAWWWN," which they all did, and they all made millions of dollars. Scott Weiland was one of these people.
Scott Weiland's imitation was at best somewhat less offensive as someone like Scott Stapp, and his songwriting was certainly a notch above most of his contemporary grunge imitators, but I am extremely worried that his death has elevated him to a place in rock history where he does not deserve to be. The damn shame is that he was actually a pretty gifted vocalist when he wasn't affecting a yarl, but STP's music makes me cringe because he doesn't sound like himself, he sounds like what was profitable.
tl;dr Scott Weiland was a part of the corporate grunge cash-in and the fact that he is being remembered as a "legendary rocker" and "one of the greatest voices of his generation" makes me extremely uncomfortable.
Other albums that are weird just to be weird/lack any real artistic merit?
Looking a bit worn now.
Will 2016 be the last year?
He's finally looking like an old man. He once said that if he was old enough that he couldn't do it he would stop. But if a lung infection and 2 surgeries isn't "Too old" then I don't know when that is.
What does /mu/ think about metal?
