So I'm playing a show tonight as a solo performer. Any advice on how to make it interesting? What should I do on stage?
ITT: Things you hate in music
>the low notes on 5-string basses
>the Four Chords (G-D-Em-C for example)
>extreme & static panning of things that shouldn't be (bass, drums, vocals, for example)
>direct-input, highly processed guitars (think the rhythm part of pretty much any Lush song or 80s single)
>Go to bar with friend
>They're playing soft indie rawk
>See bartender has his phone plugged in, ask if he has any Bloc Party
>"Naw bro, Bloc Party is shit."
>"I mean, the last album wasn't that good. But you gotta admit, Silent Alarm was amazing."
>"Naw man, that was bad too."
>Ask him to name a song from the album

Bloc party is fucking terrible. Their first album was mediocre decent and that's only because its was 2005 and anything with a guitar that was "indie" got insanely overhyped and overrated.
The band is literally a laughing joke at this point. "The love Within" was the worst song I heard last year
>Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
>My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
>Team Sleep - S/T
>Talking Heads - Remain In Light
