What is /mu/'s opinion on Old school Goa Trance? Not Psytrance. Just Curious.
Makes sense friend. There is alot of crossover between the two but pre 1998-ish there was no Psytrance really.
A general way of looking at it might be: Goa is alot more focused on a carrying melody and lead that evolves over the course of the track whereas Psytrance is alot more focused on 'drops' and buildups to a big bassline.
Listen to Breadcrumb Trail
Listen to that part where its real quiet when all of a sudden the hyperdistorted guitar comes in "BWEW BWEE BWEW BWEEEEE WEERRRRR" and tell me tha whole segment isnt post-rock
it builds and crescendos in a way that is unusual for most rock music, especially at the time it was made. the overall sound and feel might not sound like post rock, but the way the songs move and are structured is very important to the development of the genre
We all have that one kid from our home town that thought they could make it big in music but just started churning out shit. This is the one I grew up with. What about you guys?
I'm going to a teenage house party tomorrow and I plan on hijacking the audio because they tend to pass shit music that we hear 24/7 on radios
So I'm asking for suggestions, post stuff that makes the girls dance
who has the worst fanbase?
anco or grimes
Mostly jangle pop, gothic rock and post-punk the lyrics and the sound seem very effeminate.
>early MBV and so on

Ello. I'm a huge metal head. I like other genres even though I don't show it in last.fm.
Am I pleb for thinking the best Kate bush song is running up that hill?
I have always endorsed jazz fusion and progressive rock from the 70', bands like Yes, Genesis, ELP, Return to Forever, Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra has always been my go-to-music.
I am not fond of the repeatedly verse-chorus structure in songs. I would listen to anything that has invested its value in the music, but also something that conveys something emotional. The Musical Box by Genesis is a great example.
Help me find some modern bands with an unique sound, someone who doesn't care about their image, but rather what they produce.
>tfw friend bails on you to go to a show tonight but you already have a ticket so it'd be a waste of money not to go
I usually don't mind going to shows alone but I just get so bored because I'm too awkward to talk to anyone, what do I do?
do you have 2 tickets? in that case, invite whoever
if you only have yours, go and if you get bored you can just leave, though chances are people are going to be chill and the music nice if you like the artist
yeah, I mean I do like the Hotelier so I think the music is gonna be okay, I only have one ticket though, and I dont really have any friends who would be open minded enough to go to a show with me
How long until people stop crying and accept that Desiigner is better than Future in every way and will have a better career than Future?
