He doesn't love us anymore
>>60918029

What albums do you feel got underrated (by RYM / critics / Scaruffi / mu) this year?
Pic related, and I didn't even like divorce lawyers that much.
>>60917583
Maybe it's because of that, because i like divorce lawyers and that felt like it was a letdown. It wasn't bad but everyone was waiting for something like it.
My pick is Thrill Addict by Peter Kernel , one of my AOTYs for sure but I see no-one talking about it. Great art punk or whatever they call it.
>>60917624
Fuck i was pretty unclear. I mean that while that album wasn't bad everyone was waiting for another divorce lawyers
Why is this album so underrated ?
>>60917557
Too heavy for most of /m/ fags...

For what it is, it's very good. It's one of my favorite releases of the year but it felt like more of a padded EP to me. They had already released Back Pocket and Christmas in LA in full, the opener being a medley and the closer being a brief summary of the Mushy Krongold album, and then Walkies being criminally short, it leaves you with like 6 solid songs.
That being said, all of those songs are fucking amazing. I especially love what they've done with Rango II. Smile Meditation and Conscious...

Four Years Ago Today
if only vaporwave wasn't shit
>>60916839
i've only been recently getting into vapormeme
shit album 2bh, but it's incredible how as soon as the memeing died, everyone forgot about it
>>60916873
People forgot about it because its only real uniqueness was in its meme potential.
Let's talk about BORIS
Famed drone/ stoner rock band
JAPANESE
Part time post-rock/ j-pop/ shoegaze band
FROG WITH TITS
Heavy Rocks = Flood > Amp Worship > Feedbacker > Pink > Dronevil > Akuma No Uta
Rocks '11 is pretty good too and would be better liked if it had a different name!
Discuss band
NOISE is underrated as fuck IMO.
>>60916819
I'll bite. Rock Dream by Boris with Merzbow is my favorite release of theirs. I love everything though except the poppy stuff. Feedbacker, Flood, & Heavy Rocks (orange) especially.

You'll love pic related.
Otherwise, general ambient / jazz / post-rock albums with a funky tone, so more Tortoise, Amon Tobin's Bricolage, and... and that's it. I'm interrested in more recs too.
Who else really likes songs that aren't all super logical and coherent? Great examples:
