This is the super amazing industrial band everyone raves about on here? Most of this album is either ambient, ambient electronic, or synthpop. I expected something more, I guess
They were around before industrial became a codified genre you pleb
>>60931282
But Throbbing Gristle are often hailed as having an extremely significant influence on industrial

Check out First Annual Report, my personal fav. I get where you are coming from OP. While still very good, Jazz Funk is my least fav TG album cause it sounds like things I've already heard.
Can we talk about music that isn't /mu/core for once?
Jesus Christ /mu/ you all have terrible taste.

Good
She's shit
PC music is shit
You're shit
The whole concept is incredibly sad and banal when you think about it.
I'd fuck her and GFOTY though.

What are some albums with good bass playing?
>>60930942
anything jaco pastorias m9
anything primus m9
anything jack bruce m9
the bassist carries a lot of their songs
"If some one is confident in their musical abilities, they typically do not play the instrument that is drowned out in mixing."
So I listened to the post-punk charts and the post-punk mu-core albums, where do I from here? Most of it was hit or miss but I really like the genre.
Also post-punk general, I guess.

already listened to them, too noise-pop for me
Which ones did you like the best? Which ones did you dislike? Is there anything you can say about any of them? Are you looking for a sound in particular?
If your plan is to aimlessly consume more records then:

Hey, /mu/. Let's have a thread about noise rock. I know some bands but haven't ever really delved deeply into it. What should I listen to if I haven't already? Also, what blogs or other online publications should I be following if I want to know about upcoming noise rock albums?
And what are some of the best releases so far this year? Pic related and Fetch are the last two albums of the genre I know about.
What is boris' noisiest release?
>inb4 noise
>>60932025
Maybe Heavy Rocks? I haven't listened to 04092001 yet but I imagine it's pretty noisy since it has Merzbow on it.
>>60932154
No idea why I said Heavy Rocks. I meant Amplifier Worship.
Alright. Let's settle this once and for all.

Does anyone else like this better than Laughing Stock & Spirit of Eden?
Yeah, slightly. It's my favourite album of all time
Laughing Stock is my favourite album of all time, however all three of those albums are incredible and I wouldn't disagree with anyone who said they like any one of those better than Laughing Stock. I'm sure if I dug deeper into it I'd like it better, though.
Adding on, I think Westward Bound is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
