Help me /mu/
I am looking for music to write software to. I recently started a dev job and am having problems concentrating. Anything with vocals instantly throws me off. I normally listen to classic rock, anything guitar heavy I love. When I listen to this writing software though I get too into it and get distracted.
Fast moving electronic music seems to help me. Problem is as soon as there are some vocals I get the same level of distracted. Can anyone recommend what I should be looking for on shoutcast?
Do you find it hard to honestly rank your favorite albums because you want prestigious albums to be high on the list such as trout mask replica
Trout mask replica was the vaporwave of its time- trying to be artsy just for the sake of it. What do you call that again? hmm ah pretentious. The difference is vaporwave does it ironically
I have been a Beatles fan since the 70s and have followed Macca through thick and thin (even Spies Like Us), but I just can't get over him collaborating with and hanging out with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the two most narcissistic people on the planet. I feel betrayed and wonder if any other Beatles/Macca fans feel the same way. Obviously, Macca can jam with whoever he wants to, but his choice in collaborators makes me question his real ethics in life. He's always for causes, yet hangs out with complete douchebags. How can I remain a fan and get over this behavior?
He probably only has another 10 years or so left, and so he's clearly trying to step back into the mainstream world. McCartney was the Beatle that revelled in his fame the most.
In my eyes he has earned the right to do whatever the fuck he wants (musically) until he dies.
Daily reminder that John Lennon beat his wife shitless, made fun of the disabled on TV, and wanted to fuck his own mum, but people are more outraged about Paul collaborating with a popular rap artist
What is you're favourite Radiohead album and why is it Amnesiac?
Recent purchases thread? This just came today, all sold out now, FOREVER. Looks like the postman gave it a good kick tho.
Are those the bandmates signatures?
Does anyone else browse r/music when they want to feel better about their own taste?
Discuss this wacky album. I personally think it is very good, each note hits the right spot IMO. It's conceptual and there is a turning point in themes after a certain point in a certain track (something I don't see too much of these days). I also saw someone call this "shit."
trying to replicate the style of R+7? i think thats what he means. a lot of Orange Milk Records is doing that now. just listen to their catalog on Bandcamp and you'll see what I mean.
>tfw I'm a rockstar adored by millions but still have no self worth and hate myself
How does something like this happen mu?
>Wants to be an incredible and meticulous legendary artist who's so incredibly talented and nightmarishly creative
>Doesn't want to be "cute" since that's exactly what made her famous and she knows it
>Decides to constantly shit on Visions since she's nihilistic and wants to be anti-hipster as possible (New Meta-hipster tactics)
God what an untalented self-important wannabe messiah
I love her for it. one of the few none boring artist out there right now, especially in the mainstream
I'd take a grimes over halsey any day
grimes makes it up as she goes basically
In his speech, West discusses his personal inspirations and details the importance of collaboration.
"One of my biggest problems, one of my biggest Achille’s heels has been my ego," the rapper says to the audience. "And if I, Kanye West, the very person, can remove my ego, I think there’s hope for everyone."
He says that Drake is someone who helped him readjust his way of thinking.
"I think that that’s been a progression of mind with the advent of a human being named Drake," West says. "You know, this idea of holding...

"They know, they know, they know. That the real is on the rise, fuck that other guys."

Musicians that are probably child molesters
Grandma just died. She was in the late stage of Alzheimer's.
Music for this feel /mu/?
>just call me... captain BEEFHEART xDDDDD
It took me a while but the first time I properly `got` this album then whilst it was playing I couldn't stop laughing. It was absolutely amazing, one of my most enjoyable listening experiences ever.
Can't say I go back to it much now though; however, Safe as Milk, it's like being in a dusty bar in the Firefly Universe and listening to some crazy mutant blues. Ist gut.
In John French's book about him there are a few bits and pieces alluding to the fact that he may have had: Actual Magic Powers.
Lester Bangs also has mentioned some spooky stuff going on with him.
You know this is actually pretty good, looking forward to the album
