It's a mixed list, good to see so much Thugger but they put a god awful Grimes track in there
Does anybody else like this album? I dont know what it is about it but the weird noises and overall "toy factory" aesthetic has really grown on me. I wish they'd do another album like this but that'll never happen.
Also Queens of the Stone Age thread.
I think the "toy factory" vibe is just another part of their long running nostalgic/pulp/film style they also use in music videos etc
Like how Like Clockwork had that pulp comic Vampire style
I think some people find the riffs and production too grating
this album isnt as groovy as a lot of their other stuff
lotta tracks are straight DIRK DIRK DIRK DIRK DUNNNAA NA DIRK
Who here feels nostalgia when listening to Vaporwave? I feel nostalgia for times i was never in, and places I've never been.
Anemonia - I knew there was a word for it!
What time - the 80's?
Yeah, I have that for the 80s, I was only brn in 87, so although I remember the fall of the Berlin Wall and seeing late 80's repeats, growing up hearing older siblings play 80's music and seeing 80's films on television, I suppose it makes sense.
Memes and shitposting aside, which of these is actually the better album and why is it Bleach?
But it's not Bleach. Spiderland has a singular theme throughout the whole album, isolation, and a singular mood being conveyed. And it's conveyed wonderfully.
Bleach is a collection of grunge songs with no real connection other than genre. Why do you keep posting Bleach threads when we've already decided In Utero and Nevermind are better.
In fact a proper comparison would be contemporary Louisville band Rodan and their album Rusty. Both albums have interesting motifs regarding sex, but whereas Spiderland is about isolationism Rusty is about everything changing, things "rusting."
post stupid things musicians said via twitter or interviews, whatever.
>search "cringe thread"

My favorite. You can hear the exact moment the entire audience shit themselves.

Best album for weed & alcohol ?
Tfw you realise that the more complex music that someone listens to the smarter they are.
And complex doesn't mean shit, by complex i mean creative effort.
So Gary the Gadget Guy is Flatlander?
Sorry /mu/, but I just gotta get this off my chest..
Why did Paul have to turn into such an egotistical cunt?
He was totally trying to be Brian Wilson on this album (pic related). Like, he saw Brian take charge of Pet Sounds and then was like "come on lads, time to be my sidemen so I can remind the world who is the real music person 'round here...hey photographers, remember to tell the other three to always face the opposite direction to me during photoshoots from now on".
I just feel that he used the other three Beatles for his own egotistical...

Does /mu/ like rapper/indie pop/electronic producer Deadlywife?
What's her secret?
Is there something worse for a band than releasing an album that immediately cools down and cancels the whole hype surrounding the band and a huge part of their appeal?
Does /mu/ like hardcore punk?
