What's the purpose of a producer outside of hip hop, /mu/?
Can't you just press record and play your songs then leave with an album? How do people get paid for this?

Wow I'm behind on my memes
What's your favorite electroswing album?
haven't been on here for a while, has this been leaked yet?
>>66084630
It's been released
>>66084630
Yup. It's being discussed all over /mu/, I'm pretty sure you can find a link somewhere.
Discuss Ariel Pink and his artistic genius.
>>66084507
No.
>>66084507
idk what you want to discuss op?
its pretty gud
I used to give Before Today a little shit because it broke away from his lo-fi origins.
But Beverly Kills and Butthouse Blondies are both amazing.
Is it possible to have music that is corny but good in the patrician sense? Any examples?
What even is corny in music?
Probably any sily song
Wildflower.
I'm not joking.

Limp Bizkit appreciation thread? Lim Bizkit appreciation thread.
>I got a chainsaw
>I'll skin your ass raw
Notice how bold Fred Durst is compared to other rappers. Fuck guns, fuck glocks, he has a chainsaw. The dude will kill you like leatherface. This is why Limp Bizkit is one of the greatest bands of all time. He won't just shoot you, he will skin your fucking ass raw, and then BREAK YOUR FUCKIN FACE TONIGHT.
Garbage music for white-trashy-teens with fluorescent skateboard
GET THE FUCK UP
>Panda
Regularly collaborates with popular music, cute. Music is catchy and only somewhat psychedelic.
>Deakin
Sweet guy, probably a bit off. His music is technically the least "adventurous" but it's a lot more emotionally revealing and sincere than some of Panda's work so he's docked a few points. Bonus because he's tall and attractive.
>Avey
Genuine eccentric, very sensitive. Second most experimental member of the group. Prone to spazzing...

I don't know what you expect me to respond with.
OFFICIAL LIKELINESS OF ME SHOWING THEIR SOLO WORK TO NORMIES:
1. harpy sketches / golden chords deakin (basically traditional folk)
2. select tracks off Slasher Flicks (little fang) from Avey
3. Panda's more accessible songs, mostly tomboy
(power gap)
4. panda's less accessible stuff (weird grim reaper songs, anything before tomboy that 'goes on for too long')
5. avey's stuff like down there
6. deakin's weird songs like seed song
(power gap)
7. anything geologist has created
>>66083879
Is down there really that odd? I gave my copy of it on vinyl to my friend last night because his gf broke up with him
Guess what? I'm listening to this album right now haha
what
haha
>>66083652
hehe XD
Music critics are cancer.
Some of my favorite albums of all time took me 5+ listens for me to "get" it. These idiots skim through an album in an attempt to find an "objective" error they can point out to make themselves sound intelligent. 99% of the time they just adhere to the critic groupthink because they're dead inside and incapable of actually understanding what makes music special.
Congrats on just now realizing this.
fantano gives album multiple listens before reviewing
most critics do this as well
what's your point?
>have a schedule to keep so they can't listen to albums until they force themselves to like them
>when they do change their mind people get on them for bandwagoning and being untrue to their original critique
You know who I hate? Frank Zappa. I was just listening to some 13th Floor Elevators and all I could think about was how much I hate Frank Zappa. Fucking straigh-edge precursor, oh so great intellectual looking down at common drug users. I gurantee you that if Zappa was alive today he would have been a SJW ultimate. Soooo holier-the-thou fucker. His lyrics are not even remotly funny. Oh, don't eat the yellow snow, how hilarious... Christ.
b8
look at me, I'm Frank Zappa, I'm better then you pleb.
2/10 penis, could've drawn a better one with my eyes closed
I heard /mu/ hates this album. Is this true?
yes, but it's good
>>66083366
Nice dubs, but check these
>>66083366
I like it a lot, but if anyone ever sees that I listen to Daft Punk, they might assume that I listen to RAM, and that's just something that I don't want.
I surely hope these lyrics are satirical, otherwise, their take on politics is cringier than SoaD.
>>66083323
they are satire you dip
>>66083323
I don't know a single lyric off this album
They're real but they're having fun with it so it's okay, they're not trying to persuade you or anything they're basically just trying to be political because it's fun.
And it works
>someone disagrees with you on RYM
>check their curve
>lowest rated album is a 4
>>66083253
>someone can't disagree with you unless they have a "puhtrishun" curve
>>66083302
If someone has more than a fraction of their ratings be 5s their opinions is quite literally worthless
>>66083396
>enjoys life and enjoys music
>fuck you, you can't be part of my roman club
>It's short, but it makes a hell of a noise
>it doesn't exist
you have to get past the fact that the words dont make any sense
id rate it a 10/10 ;W;
