>tfw you're not a tenor
>tfw you won't make it as a singer because you can't hit the high notes and can't hit the low notes
Fuck being a baritone.

That didn't stop David sylvian or sctott walker
>>61059404
Those are older musicians. We're talking about the modern day. After the Beatles, the world's been in a tenor-obsession.
>tfw tried singing Neutral Milk Hotel with then-gf
>tfw she told me I'm a terrible singer and I should stop trying
>tfw she wasn't joking
it hurts
This is seriously sick. And the highs of Filthy Tongue might be even better, although I could do without Black Smoke Rises
Anything else like this?

There really isn't any other hip-hop that fuses noise/shoegaze/industrial like dalek sadly. Try out their first album though, which is probably their best release in my opinion.

>although I could do without Black Smoke Rises
that was my favorite track. although I'm more into noise and industrial than hip hop so I guess that makes sense. also lurking this thread for recs.
Albums Where the 5th Track is the Worst
>album that has no 5th track
more like albums where every track is shit

treefingers is one of the best tracks, fuck off
Just heard this beautiful album. 10/10 it's a must listen. I especially love the Jeff Mangum influences on this album but that could just be me.

Literally just pet sounds with weird sound effects

It's also one of my favorites, at least in my top ten. And IIRC the Olivia Tremor Control was in the same scene as NMH

Finding bands similar to those boys is nearly impossible, their sound was a one of a kind.Try "New Order" if you don't know them, its the same band basicly, but without Ian.
And maybe "The Cure" could fit ya'?

Have you ever found an artist you know in the streets?
Have you ever tried to found one?

My family is good friends with Mike Portnoy because we met him through a friend. Not sure if that counts. He was over for dinner recently. Neat guy, if a bit stuck up sometimes
Ran into Sufjan on the streets of Bristol before a concert. At first I was nervous and let him pass me by but then I sort of casually followed the direction he headed off in and ran into him again. Chatted for about one minute. P cool experience.

I've said hello to Robert Wyatt countless times as I used to live near the town he lives in.
The Beach boys are just a contrarian Beatles.

I like both.
Fun facts from part 2:
>Future/Tame Impala poll was the most voted on, with 111 votes. Future won by only 9.
>The closest match was FJM and Joanna Newsom, with FJM winning by a mere 8 votes.
The albums are simply a consolidation of various publications' AOTY lists, I didn't choose them. Also I know that the bracket is wonky, the list order was randomized which I now realize was a bad idea but oh well, which is why the Jenny Hval pick seems out of place compared to albums like OPN's or Joanna's...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
What publications even had Jenny Hval on their list?

I should have, but even then she was in the top 32 yesterday when I started this (she's at 35 now). The reason I got more specific than just using albumoftheyear was because of anomalies like Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell that /mu/ doesn't give two shits about. I think next time I'll use something more concrete and specific to /mu/ though, maybe last.fm or comb through a bunch of the AOTY threads and charts.
