I listened to it, it was kinda bad. I am really disappointed, cause I wanted so bad to believe that these guys still had it in them to put out an incredible rock record after their bus accident.
I think this band might be done for after this one.

It's not terrible, but its awfully underwhelming. And I am one of the few who actually loved Yellow & Green.

Post your favorite Aphex Twin song and judge others. If you don't have one because you don't listen to him, shame on you.

but there's no drop
Literally just random sounds.
>>61074538
too abstract for you mate?
>>61074538
The only music that can truly be described as "random sounds" is noise music. It's a genre built on random waveforms.
Experimental electronic music is controlled as fuck. Not random.

Garden of Delete is more abstract than this, but still enjoyable. Arca just cannot write good songs for shit.

Hey guys I just started viewing this board and I was wondering if there were any artists that are really good I should listen too. I mostly listened to just mainstream stuff but I have seen some really good stuff on here. Any essentials I should check out? Just put them below please.

At what age did you grow out of free jazz, /mu/?
>>61074212
nobody on /mu/ actually lieks free jazz, they just pretend to becasue they think it will make them look intellectual (or 'something) but the realit y is that most people who play free jazz do so becasue they can't really play tunes like normal jazz musicians.
Free jazz a shit

I've been listening to the Residents heavily these past two weeks and I'm already enjoying them a lot. So far Eskimo, Commercial Album, and Mark of the Mole have been great listens. which other albums do you think I should check out?

The Theory of Obscurity - an artist can only produce pure art when the expectations and influences of the outside world are not taken into consideration.
Yeah I know ithe last one's a meme question, but that's the real reason.

Man those are all of my favorites. Fingerprince and Buster and Glen/Duck Stab are two essential albums you should hear. I'm not a huge fan of their really early stuff (meet the residents and third reichnroll) but they're still great records
