Better than TPAB
Please recc and judge and shit
Wire - 154
Mission Of Burma - Vs.
Gun Club - Fire Of Love
Pearls Before Swine - Balaklava
Bob Dylan and Leo Cohen are pretty good but I think that Tyler, AM, and Lou Reed are pretty poor.
idk, try Primus - Pork Soda if you haven't already
I second The Gun Club
What cities do /mu/tants live in? How would you rate the music scene in your area?
San Francisco Bay Area: The music scene here is pretty strong. There's a strong local Hip Hop scene in Oakland, while Berkeley has a lively punk scene that is accentuated by lively DIY venues like the Gilman. San Francisco has a pretty sizable club music scene with a lot of LBGT influence. What about you, ./mu/?
Houston here. We have a pretty nice country scene. not that many huge artists but all the little guys who play the bars are pretty nice. also houston has one of the best hip hop cities in the country.
/mu/ opinion on Alt-J?
An Awesome Wave was fucking great- not for everyone but definitely my type of music. This Is All Yours was very underwhelming but not altogether awful. Still looking forward to their next release, whenever that may be
>Autechre is better than Boards of Canada
How do I get better at criticizing music? I wanna be able to say more than; "Oh ya I like the lyrics and the uh.. riffs.."
/mu/ I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion and there's lots of good music out there but is a genuine bad music genre or bad band your allowed to hate and judge people for liking
>band has a strong rhythm section
The surprise I felt when this was actually good.
What didn't you like about it? I think it was a great mix of pop sensibilities and interesting instrumentation and sounds. Some songs are both creepy, poppy and sexy at the same time, something which I find really intriguing.
>turned 19 yesterday
music for this feel pls
>that glorious feel when /mu/ is finally beginning to realize that Bleach is the best Nirvana album
question for you do u like ska
let em all out, /mu/tants
>I think pic related shits on Ys in every conceivable way
I think Ys is a 6 and Helplessness Blues is an 8, so it's not too big of a deal, this is just an album I never see talked about in a positive way while Newsom is all over the place
This album is actually really fucking good
How can I introduce this album to my friends without them discovering that I browse /mu? Is it popular anywhere else?
