Have you heard The Epic? It's 3 hours long!
Wooooow it took 3 hours of music for Kamasi to get BNM LOL
Anyone who doesn't think it's extremely interesting and important that Boyhood took 12 years to make doesn't actually care about cinema.
Kamasi Washington is just a circle jerk though.

>Anyone who doesn't think it's extremely interesting and important that Boyhood took 12 years to make doesn't actually care about cinema.
the point is that regardless of the interest it's still a mediocre movie
John Cage made the first piece with torn pieces of paper but it's pretty garbage
Is it safe to torrent music anymore? I haven't done it in a while and google didn't help so I'm coming to you niggas. I usually used The Pirate Bay, but I don't know whats up with that now a days. You're responses are much appreciated.
Is that Siamese Dream? I still use The Pirate Bay and have had no problems so far. Hope I don't get arrested :^) Protip: Buy albums as much as you pirate them, so you don't kill the music industry.

Steely Dan has to be my favorite band of all time. Any other Dan fans here?
>>61250249
I must've flipped between Can't Buy a Thrill and Pretzel Logic as my fav Dan release at least 4 times - they both haven't dated at all
among my top early 70's albums out of the U.S. (along with Riot and Fresh by Sly & The Family Stone)
Pretzel Logic is in my Top 10 at the moment.

Go back to /pol/ i would rather discuss music with a hipster than a racist.
can anyone recommend me some good music?, I usually listen to blackmetal and the only other things in my playlists that aren't really angry that I can still relate to are The Doors, some Rolling Stones and a few rappers like Twiztid and Caskey who also have a somewhat angry/depressive theme. I also like electronic music like Mortiis and Aesthetic perfection.
I just find it hard to listen to things that are overly upbeat, they come of as fake or really shallow.
I'm pretty much open to anything as long as it's not really pop-ish or raggae music . I...

gotta get yourself some heavy/power metal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eBDUC4s3bY

Try post rock. Alot of it comes across as depressing / morose / serious music and has some guitar work that metal can relate too (tremolo picking, crashing drums, crescdndos). It to me comes across as serious (even if somewhat pretentious), and even the happy songs don't sound cheap and fake like you say. I get where you are coming from, but try your best to explore new genres and get the same message you enjoy in music conveyed from a different medium.
>>61249924
Nice!, I like stuff like StormWitch's album "Walpurgis Night".
>>61249962
Any good examples?, I'll try google in a sec but post rock sounds like a broad or generic term that might get thrown around with bands labeled as that when they're not really. Do you mean like Opeth and Devin Townsend or?..
