Have any of you ever extensively listened to other things Stephen O'Malley has produced?
Guy's just a great musician.
Here's a good one for starters:
What do you call that low bumping bass tone in the background of all those jazz songs from the 1940's and 1950's (and some early 1960's)? It loops and kinda goes like "boom boom bom boom badoo boom boom bom boom boom boom"?
Example: starts at 0:09 and can be heard behind the clapping
/mu/ confessions. I'll start
This is up there in my top three favorite albums of all time
i like the grateful dead's studio material a lot, but can't stand half an album of their live stuff
i think that sublime's first two LPs are great music
tom waits is one of my favorite musicians but his later stuff tends to be too experimental for me and i wish i liked it a lot more than i actually do
i only like one prince song but still like to imagine that i'm a fan
i have so much contemporary classical music downloaded, yet i find near-impossible to motivate myself to listen to it
i think that modern radio-pop is literally...

Best djent band ever organized right? or are you some kind of neutral milk hotel hipster faggot?
i read some raving reviews about these guys and went into it hoping for some mindblowingly talented musicians with backgrounds in metal who still had enough self-awareness and broad musical interest to pull off something dynamic and well-rounded. So I listened to One and got something pretentious and ultra-idiomatic with god-awful production that was melodramatic and representative of shitty modern metal and a big waste a time.
listen to some Old Man Gloom and go through puberty
Say something nice about Lauren Mayberry
Help! is my favorite Beatles album. I'm certainly not arguing that it's the best or most important, but goddamn what an album.
I have literally hundreds of instrumentals but can't writer a lyric to save my life. any tips?
>"WELCOME TO VANCOUVER BRITISH COLUMBIA, (ANON)"
>he pulls out printed 4chan threads you were involved in where you made racist remarks and jokes about the holocaust
>you being stammering and sweating
>"(ANON), CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THESE ARE?"
>you stammer harder for an answer
What do, /mu/?
In their latest interview 5sos basically just badmouth and mock their fans. I'm genuinely confused by this, like this is a terrible career move for any artist, especially one who's fans have massive communities on twitter. Possble publicity stunt for Rolling Stone or the band, not sure. Read the article here: https://twitter.com/Your5SOSupdates/status/680572895156920320
Changed it again huh? Loving the lo-fi feel
Check out forth wanderers if u haven't yet
>not liking Bleach
>thinking Bleach isn't the best Nirvana album
How the hell did Joy Division get so popular? Closer and Unknown Pleasures are both very good albums but aren't even close to the best post-punk and Love Will Tear Us Apart is a good song but it isn't that great.
Anybody on /mu/ know about any pressing plants that do small orders of at least 10 LPs? or any plant that is willing to press independent artists?
I can do around 300, but I want to do ten for my first pressings so I can include CD's and
bonus items. does Pirates press also print posters or do I have to do that separately?
How accurate is this meter /mu/?
Hey /mu/, I've been lurking for a while here. These are some of my favorite albums, how bad do I have it lol? What albums do you recommend to make my taste better?
