Let me guess, /mu/? You like, totally outgrew your Aphex Twin phase. Ugh, what were you thinking, right?
>I know you faggots listen to college whiney rock band tier shit

I appreciate the support, God bless you, brother
it's become popular on this board to assert that SAW II and Drukqs are better than 85-92 for some reason (they aren't, btw)
I bought a guitar a year ago and I almost never played it. I realized I'm not actually interested in guitar. I want to play the electric keyboard. But now I'm stuck with a guitar and amp and if I buy a keyboard I'll feel like an idiot for wasting my money. But still I feel like the guitar just doesn't inspire me and the keyboard makes some beautiful sounds. What should I do?
get a Keytar

Sell your guitar and amp

faggot
Learn to play the guitar while you save up for a keyboard.

In all honesty, metal is objectively the worst genre.
>B-but it takes skill!
What skill? You bang some fucking power chords on your out of tune guitar while screaming out dragons or getting bullied in high school
>B-b-but it's aggressive and cool!
No, go listen to Hardcore for something like that. At least people who play in hardcore bands are pretentious fucks minus Henry Rollins.
At this point, the average metal listener will go to 'muh feels' as a justification.
I am angry because you are saying that a style of music I like is bad
you spelled hip hop wrong

How do i record music alone? I have most of the instruments i need and im learning how to play the ones that are newer to me. I have a h4n zoom recorder. I just got a vocal mic. I want to record with drums, electric/acoustic guitar, and keyboard. I have no idea where to start with recording a song alone with these. I don't know how to tie them together. I also don't know how to use any audio software but i have audacity installed. Any help is appreciated!
2beeH you're a lot better off doing a google search or lurking some forums elsewhere. /mu/ isn't a great place for recording advice.
Good luck anon

thanks man! ill look around
you can mic everything if you have a decent mic. If you really need a clean bass sound you can DI your electric guitar and pitch it down. or you can record your acoustic with the mic and pitch it down to get a neat cello sound.
I'd recommend you get a decent DAW like Abelton or Cubase. Their presets are 2nd to none, though they have a bit of a learning curve.
for stringing songs together, you're on your own there. Everyone has their own workflow. Personally, I like to come up with a phrase on the guitar that I can sing over and then work from there. Your...

This album has great instrumentals and hooks but I don't like how explicit the lyrics can be at times. I'm okay with some killing, drug dealing, and sexing but he takes it a bit too far for me. Anyone got any recommendations for something that sounds similar but is a bit more clean?

Considering the album is a satire of hip hop culture that's kind of the point.
Go listen to J Dilla or Nujabes if you want to relax.
Will grunge ever make a comeback?
i hope not

Rock music is in a global crisis. People are growing up in this age while never experiences the glory of great rock music. No bands have come to take the throne from the greats of yesteryear. How do we save rock music?

2016 hasn't even started and the mixtape hasnt come out yet ,but I nominate Lil B's "Thuged out pissed off" as mixtape of the year 2016.
No objections here
imagine still liking lil b in 2015 and being that much of an embarrassment to your family

Lil B is a rap god. Verses like "Bitch mob, bitch mob
Suck my dick
Tiny shirt, pink bandana, I'mma fuck your bitch" go hard
What does /mu/ think of Sparks? Personally, I love them
Cool band
When I discovered them a few years ago, I was mildly disappointed to realize how much of Montreal stole from them
>>61336821
Their period between Introducing Sparks and In Outer Space is superb
>>61336878
Really good period. Wish the band was more well-known though
