okay I just realized I never actually listened to Tupac, I know he's reddit-tier but he's called the best rapper for a reason, right? What was his best album?
>>61358625
>okay I just realized I never actually listened to Tupac,
>I know he's reddit-tier
Me Against The World is without doubt his best album. His best asset as an MC was always that you could hear his conviction, and his conviction is undeniable on that record. In my opinion anyway.

Literally the most fedora core music ever created by someone
Post something more fedora than this.

>the "best" jazz albums (A Love Supreme, Kind of Blue, The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady) are actually the best jazz albums.
>the more you explore jazz the shitter the music gets
Being a jazz fan must be awful.
Kenny G is better than any of those albums
>>61402050
Well those aren't my favorites
Every genre has its most famous albums, but to say that those are the only worthwhile albums in the genre would be highly incorrect IMO
>>61402196
I agree
Just exploring a certain label such as Blue Note or Riverside is very interesting and there are many gems

>beatles, first band in the water
don't know if this belongs here or on /v/ but if you had your own station in GTA what would it be called and what music would you play?
Vinewood Beaulevard was basically what I listened to when that game came out
rainbow radio
would plays grimes, g.l.o.s.s, peaches, savage garden, fun
>>61357722
hello i would create a station called 'lucas' ludriciously loud music' and it'd play all my favourite songs ... the gimmick is that they would be a bit too loud though haha :)
Admit it /mu/. We always mock reddit, call them plebs, say their music taste in inferior, but in the inside we're jealous. "Why would be jealous of redditfags?" you may be asking yourself. The thing is, one visit to /r/music and you will realize the difference between /mu/ and reddit. While here we post some of our favorite albums and see them get ripped to shreds, call other /mu/tants plebs and listen to the most obscure shit just to get the honour of being called "patrician", reddit haves it easier. You can post your favorite album and nobody will...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I hate reddit because its annoying to use
as far as I know the same faggots post here anyways
4chan is an edgier reddit, don't let anyone fool you

But I don't want people to agree with me
Without dissent I have no motive to seek out anything else, and if we just stuck to the same pantheon of acclaimed stuff and no one ever ventured out to improve their taste, then things would get stale
how did black metal come to be so much better than every other metal subgenre?
It's not better than post-rock.
OP here perdition city is their best album btw
>>61357692
but post-rock isn't a subgenre of metal
Can we get a bob thread going?

>Visions of Johanna is GOAT Dylan song
>John Wesley Harding is thrown into the shit pile by most people despite being one of his most focused works
>H61R has god-tier opener and closer but is weak in the middle, not even top 5 of his albums for me
I like his early folkier stuff the best. His first two albums are my favourite from him. Also enjoyed Blonde On Blonde a lot. Highway 61 was okay. Any recs?
Also, what's /mu/'s opinion on his last album (Tempest, I think)? Heard good stuff about it.
what the fuck am I even listening to?

what does /mu/ think of this album?
idk what's on that album but if it's Scar Tissue, it's good. There was actually a discussion about this two days ago, people generally thought it was mediocre but overaverage. Some people were still in love with it before they convinced themselves they were too cool to like it though.
The production is the worst part about it
>>61357275
why do you act like that
can't you just appreciate something that's actually pretty good instead of acting like some fucking elite music review... we're on an anonymous image board for fuck sake you don't have to pretend to be cool. just because you got bullied in grades 2-12 doesn't mean you have to act tough online.
