New years resolutions /mu/ ?
I've been listening to Paul Simon's album Graceland. I really enjoy the african rhythms and flavor. Could some of you recommend some authentic african music, I would appreciate it.
There's a mega link to this in the archive, but it's down for me, try looking for this when the arcgive starts working again, it's a real intersting listen.
What do you think about Phantogram?

Post a band's greatest work/pinnacle achievement

I feel like they rushed into things. dating for 3 years and having 2 kids. I want Kanye to be with Alexis again she was his true love. VERY worried for Kanye and his relationship with Kim. Hope they stay together for the kids.
So what's the difference between "edgy" cringe-inducing aggressive music versus "serious" aggressive music? It's pretty clear that there is some kind of clear line between them, but what it exactly is is hard to articulate. Is it something about the lyrics, and if so, what is it? Or is it the artist's image? Or a mixture of both?
Example of former, "edgy" cringe music:
Example of "serious" aggressive music:

They are both edgy in a way, the lyrics are not the difference. The song structure is what makes it "serious", like with any other genre.
What does /mu/ think of lady gaga? Probably shit, right? I dunno, I like her music, but i have a shit taste I think. What about you?
I think she's a horrible cunt of a human being. I think she did everything she could to gain fame and fortune and then complained about it and quit, in turn gaining her more of both. She influenced countless shitty artists. She pushed SJW memes. No.
Just ordered this new shirt from Bleep.
Do you have any band merch yourself and are you autistic enough to wear it outside?
i got wasted and woke up with a $45 receipt in my e-mail for this shirt. fuck my life
but in general, yeah. I usually buy shirts for smaller bands I like, and I'll wear it. I wouldn't buy anything like your shirt though, but I also really dislike shirts with just words on them
art angels was to grimes what shaking the habitual was to the knife
only appeal to bandwagoners, both jumped sharks and signalled the exact moments the respective artists became parodies of themselves, both uninspired, contrived albums from artists scratching the bottom of their barrels for ideas etc etc
3 years from now, Grimes will be where The Knife are today - defunct or even more desperate reinvent herself, without the spark that made her
do we really need 5 threads about one single
