How about we post fake genres and others guess the album cover?
http://pitchfork.com/thepitch/1217-is-2016-musics-biggest-year-in-decades/
Not sure if this was discussed before, but do you /mu/tants think 2016 has been a good year for music?
Other than that the editor is a fucking cuck, I think not only has music been shit this year, but it's been a shitty year to say the least. But that's just me.
Discuss
2016 has been the year of over-hype.
See: Animal Collective, Bowie, Avalanches, CSH, etc.
People are getting way too excited about formulaic albums this year.
>>66157273
No
2010, 2012 and 2015 were better
It's the year of artists beyond their prime releasing new shit. Of course the big press is gonna prefer that as the headlines get more clicks.
What's their best song /mu/?

I saw these guys. Awesome show.
>top 5 best
Paul McCartney (2014)
The Sounds/Foxy Shazam (2009)
Cheap Trick (2014)
Weezer (2014)
The Limousines (2010)
>top 5 worst
Metallica (2009)
System of a Down (2005)
Rush (2006)
Stitches (2016)
Warbringer (2011)
To their defense, Rush played well but the venue had the worst acoustics imaginable. They might as well have played inside a giant hollow metal globe.
Deephouse.
A pleb genre or full of hidden patrician gems?
What's you opinion on that one?
Can people here convince me that the multiple genres of house mean anything?
They all sound incredibly similar.
What the fuck makes deep house "deep"?
>>66156862
it's a brilliant genre ruined by mainstream attention labeling anything that has soft vocals and melodic bass deephouse. there are still plenty of brilliant tunes coming through though. examples of some i've enjoyed recently. some old, some new:

Well how I experienced it, deep house is something that "gets under your skin" and "gets in your mind" or at least tries it.
Why I personally like about it is, that real deep house got this eerie atmosphere to it.
Like in this song for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LhLvhLFoHk
Unfortunately there aren't that many tracks out there who really get to you.
That's why I made this thread, to trick you people into showing me some good deep house tracks.

Just listened to this for the first time with headphones because of the supposed hype for Wildflower. Wow it's really beautiful, fresh and vibrant. I feel like it'll only continue to grow on me. What are your favourite moments/how do you personally feel about the record?
>>66156097
It's shit
>>66156103
Why do you think that though? I didn't like it when listened to it through speakers but it almost sounds like a different album through some decent headphones. My favourite songs at the moment are Since I Left You, A Different Feeling and Electricity.
