I thought this was supposed to be good. At least 70% of this album is filler.

both bad
Thirty-Three - In the Arms of Sleep - 1979
I listen to that over and over.
Earlier I was listening to some FlyLo when I realized how fucking horrible his mixing is. He has no idea how to layer the sounds he records which really threw me off as I listened.
So I'm curious /mu/, who are some artists who actually know how to mix their albums?
At the very least I know pic related does, the mixing on her albums is incredible which is important for an artist with such a large focus on layering various instruments.
bump? I mean it's kind of annoying that actual music discussion threads like this are getting pushed down while you guys bump meme threads

What are some good 'Nam tunes?
It Ain't Meme
When it comes to wars, Nam had the best soundtrack.
I'll start with the obvious: the Doors - The End
CAT'S FOOT
IRON CLAW
Listen up, nerds:
The Beatles are popular, yes. And sometimes I've dismissed people for only listening to the Beatles. (Which is appropriate.)
However: they're kind of inevitably great. Haven't heard anything of them for a year or so. Just returned to this album, and it's blowing me away. Again.
Let's not deny how good they are. It's pathetic.
>>61625221
>It's pathetic.
This is pathetic, your taste needs to mature yet.
>>61625240
lmao
the sign of maturity in music is realizing that the beatles aren't horrible or amazing. Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, and Abbey Road are all 7/10s and worth listening to
I'm not OP btw
Nobody denies the Beatles were good. The usual fuzz is about Beatles not being as great as people make it out to be.
Now, that being said
>Best
Frank Zappa > Velvet Underground > Beatles > Beach Boys > Captain Beefheart
>Favorite
Captain Beefheart > Frank Zappa > Beatles > Velvet Underground > Beach Boys
What is /mu/'s consensus on Leonard Cohen?
he was great in Scarface
He was great in Rain Man.

Scent of a Woman was a pity Oscar.
Describe the worst person you know with the worst music taste. My brother for example. 19. Supports Trump, worlds biggest racist, makes vaping videos for Instagram. Pic related + Hopsin + Mac Miller are his favs.
>>61625054
>Supports Trump
That's not bad though
myself
>>61625054
Mac Miller is ok! but the rest is shit
Im in the car with my family traveling for 3 hours and my grandfather wont shut up, even if in wearing sprakers, i still listen his voice. Give me your noisiest or heaviest shit so i dont hear him, please, im dying
>>61624602
Listen to Whitehouse I guess.
>>61624602
hahhahahahha i sometimes have to travel in the backseat with my grandfather while wearing headphones and wish he would shut up, but i'm not enough of an asshole to ignore him, so i turn the music off every time he speaks
Try having some respect for others for a change you underage faggot.
>doing nofap 2016
>longest I've ever gone without fapping
>starting to notice things in music that I've never heard before
is it just a placebo? or does not fapping truly grant you a higher appreciation of music?
also music for this feel?
Do you not get blue balls?
I kind of want to do this but I don't really know what I'd be proving to myself
I mean, I'm obviously (functionally) addicted to it as I do it most days and haven't gone more than a week without doing it since I started 10 years ago
But I don't really know what stopping would acheive. I think it's just wanting to prove I can self-restraint (which I clearly can't)
Why aren't you aiming for a more useful resolution? Like working out or helping your community. Nobody gives a shit about how often you cum from reading chinese graphic novels online.
>tfw i finally "get" this album
congrats
congrats
