>cant find any new artist/band with stuff that consistently appeals to me
what do you guys do to find new music?
Not be a closed-minded retard? Go to rym, find an album you like, select one of the sub genres, and scroll through there. Or you can go to top albums, go into about the 700-1000 range and just pick something that looks good. Also sharethreads, suggestions from friends, last.fm. if you cant regularly find new music you're just an idiot.
Bowie dying is semi-understandable. However
How the hell is he still alive

The word Pop shouldn't be anywhere near Punk.
It's all a publicity stunt.
His David Bowie persona died and 4 days after that, Lazarus is born.
So what upcoming releases are there to look forward to now that the we all know what will end up being praised as the AOTY?
ITT: Underrated albums
I think the events surrounding this album raise an interesting question about critical evaluation of a work. It was generally pretty well celebrated before his death, but only after he died was the real purpose of it seen. Should we take that into account when assessing the album? When it was reviewed, no one had any clue this was meant to be a final goodbye to his fans and world in a way that only Bowie could manage. I think it makes it a much more impressive work of art and something that hasn't been done before in music, but should the album be considered in isolation or not?
>something that hasn't been done before in music
When will this meme end?
How do you think he is going to carry that weight now that Bowie has named him as his successor?
"Kanye West? He is... my... successor. Yes. It is true. Kanye West, also, now, known as, because of course, as it is written, it is true, the man who shall, yes, succ-, yes, -eed me. Yes."
