If Bowie was /mu/'s father
Bush would be mum
Appreciate her while she's still around ;___;
i don't think bowie's female equivalent is kate bush. her style gradually changed over the years contrasted with bowie's constant, at times jarring reinvention.

In terms of international mourning among music lovers they are equal and so the comparison works

What was the worst experience you ever had when listening to music with plebs?
A person played this song by Streetlight Manifesto where it's based on Brahms' 5th Hungarian Dance, and said that it was the future of classical music

ITT: We post hate for vinyl and vinylfags.
Shit Vinylfags Say:
>It sounds warmer.
>You appreciate music more if you actually go through the effort if looking for it. Having all of your music available at the click of a button has had a detrimental effect of people's appreciation of music.
>Vinyl actually encourages you to listen to the full album in its proper trackorder instead of being a pleb who only listens to single songs.
>You're...

>It sounds warmer.
this is a meme that no one actually says
>You appreciate music more if you actually go through the effort if looking for it. Having all of your music available at the click of a button has had a detrimental effect of people's appreciation of music.
I agree that this is a dumb statement that comes up a lot with vinyl fans

Seems like a waste of money and it's pretentious but I don't care enough to make a thread about it
>>61749193
>spending money on a 12.375"X12.375" cardboard printout of an album cover
>part of why you collect vinyl
See that's stupid
i'll start us off with this gem

I personally think it's pretty good, yes it lacks the angry, emotionality of the 90s era, but I still like how Trent's skills as a musician have cultivated over the years, we can see how much he's grown as an artist. Idk, I think Hesitation Marks reflects on that
I was just let down because I liked the single a lot, and the album ended up being really boring for me. Its mediocre when compared to the older stuff that is godly sometimes.
>>61748783
this. a thousand times this. his first few albums/singles literally are godly haha, they don't call him the King of Pain for no reason x>
I think HM is more atmospheric than emotional because Reznor HAS mellowed out a lot now, he's said in many interviews he's happy now, so I think that might be why? I find that the better music comes from more raw emotion, but that's just me lol

No opinion
Does anyone have Apple Music? could anyone tell me about it? is it worth getting? Is it better than spotify? any help is welcome...
im trying to decided what service to get
You should get the free torrent service
Spotify is p gud, I like Google Play a bit more but Spotify is easier to do the 3 months for $1 thing

post music critics who really make you think
Jesus christ I seriously don't think there is anyone more pretentious than someone who criticizes art for a living. You have a meaningless job where you criticize people for doing things that you probably aren't even capable of doing.

I was on mu for about 24 hours solid when Bowie died ;_;
I feel like mu is way nicer now.
>inb4 die
I was there when Death Grips "broke up"
>>61743914
I was there at the Hurricane festival when Bowie did his last big gig and where he had that heart attack on stage in 2004.
He performed the whole setlist but just mentioned something like: "Wow, I am really getting cold. Guess I am not the youngest anymore." And changed his normal Reality Tour oufit to a warmer hoodie / sweater during the last few songs.
