Guilty pleasures thread.
Okay, we're all anonymous here. It's time to let our guards down for a minute and stop acting like we only listen to top tier audibles.
What music does /mu/ like and actively listen to that they wouldn't dare tell another soul?
Usually I'm a hip-hop/black metal guy but sometimes I like to dumb it way the fuck down and listen to Chief Keef, Riff Raff and Lil B.
I also like to revisit my former pop-punk glory and listen to New Found Glory and Taking Back Sunday.
Now your turn.
Honestly the closest thing I have to a guilty pleasure is Deerhunter
Guys I think I'm in too deep
Absolute worst of prog-rock wankery.
But they're still kind of fun.
>>61807580
Metallica and Green Day I guess...
But you faggots probably think that's a guilty pleasure when they're actually great bands

Quite surprised at this to be honest.

The band is Talk Talk btw.

>the tendency to give up trying to talk about an experience because people are unable to relate to it—whether through envy or pity or simple foreignness—which allows it to drift away from the rest of your life story, until the memory itself feels out of place, almost mythical, wandering restlessly in the fog, no longer even looking for a place to land.
ITT: Describe an album with lyrics from that album
>It's fuckin' beautiful is what it is
>I fall asleep hoping tomorrow tastes like poems and honeysuckle.
>When I lay dying upon some bed
>I hope that you remember this:
>The only one I want to see is you
;_;
perfect
At what point does an album become acclaimed enough that you don't "get" it instead of you don't "like" it, when it becomes so acclaimed that you simply can't dismiss the album as "bad". But the fault is with the listener instead, for not "getting" it.
I think pic related has definitely achieved this
If you feel like you don't get something it's more likely that you don't like it but want to force yourself to like it because other people like it.
I didn't not get Robert wyatt's rock bottom
I just fucking hated it
This thread is hella gay

You don't get it. I didn't get it for a while, but then I listened to it while cross-faded just before going to bed and it literally sounded like heaven.
autists like onision, amazing atheist, mr "diverse taste" repzion
>>61804586
they listen to monties coldplay covers
>>61804586
Didn't he have a cringeworthy online spat with Fantano, defending Marilyn Manson.
It's almost too perfect.
Free Jazz, technical death metal and 20th century 'classical', stuff they don't understand thus nobody else does.
Sad idols edition
I love KPOOP :)
Spec-Ops momo..
From Neil Peart to Zach Hill to the guy from Can, list the best drummers weve ever been graced with. Both technically and just style wise.
Des Kensel, drummer for High on Fire is pretty great

Bill Bruford is the best I've heard, but I love 2/3 of the ones you listed
/mu/, What is your favorite Interpol song?
NYC obviously, family.

just recently had a nice listen to PDA
shame they haven't topped that since :\
How is this album not /mu/ core?
it is
>>61804398
Because it's not posted enough.
GOAT album though. Never have technical proficiency and feels come so perfectly intertwined.
>>61804398
in order for an album to be /mu/core it has to be talked about a lot.
And, all of the /mu/core albums are really dividing, ie: just as many people hate them as the people who love them.
