IIT:Bands that only have 1(one) good album
>the album art doesn't fit with the music
>the album art is terrible but the album is killer
>the album art is great but the album is shit
>talking to someone about music irl
>we start talking about Yes
>he says his favorite album is Fragile
>I say I prefer Close to the Edge
>his response: "haha OH WOW SOMEBODY GOES ON /MU/!!! Fragile is CLEARLY the superior album! Maybe if you didn't spend so much time on /mu/ and would form your own opinion you would see that. You only like Close to the Edge because /mu/ told you to!"
This actually happened.
is this better than Unknown Pleasures?
I prefer Unknown Pleasures. Closer is too ethereal and new wave for me. That little hint of abrasiveness Unknown Pleasures has that Closer lacks really outweighs the morbidness of Closer in my opinion.
But I can see why other people would feel otherwise.
ITT: Albums nu-males will never understand

nothing wrong with having a permanent favorite album or ten. it probably means youre settling into your taste for music.
its a pretty unbeatable album tho, mainly cuz its so different from the 4 or 5 remotely comparable sludge albums people will reply to this thread with

>Eric Clapton is still alive
Is Kylie Minogue the secret to perfect music?
>tfw you walk on the subway
>tfw it moves around

Opinion on this song and Jamie XX in general?
Sounds like he's trying to be Aphex Twin.
I like this album a lot but I feel like it makes me a pleb fan of electronic
and whenever I ask bleep for songs that sound similar to select stuff from this album they use british slang and make me feel bad
I'm going to lose a year of my life in a hospital and who knows how many after I get my heart. I'm sickly and depressed and fucking done with life. Music for this feel please.
