lol if you listen to the radio, one time my computer died and i dusted off the radio from the closet and it was all shit in between 3 hours of commercials, the only station i could stand was the classical one.
Thank god for the internet so i dont have to be a slave to corporate music.
Making Mirrors is a great record, too bad the worst song got popular.

thank you, someone finally mentioned this album
Do you only listen to unknown hipster music with weird album art?
Do you go through phases where you dress and listen to different music. Like 1970s british punk phase, 90's rap phase, jazz phase, etc.
Do you just listen to everything? Modern rap, old school rap, funk, jazz, classical, top 40, 90s grunge, metal, punk, rock, ska, reggae, foreign, war music, vaudeville music, country, etc.
Do you ever come into problems with people you know in real life that hate other genres?
Friends that like rap and think country sucks
Friends that like...

>Do you only listen to unknown hipster music with weird album art?
No, but sometimes I'll buy/listen to an album because of the album art
>Do you go through phases where you dress and listen to different music. Like 1970s british punk phase, 90's rap phase, jazz phase, etc.
No. I dress like a slob no matter what I listen to. But when I had my death grips phase I dressed in all black, embarrassingly enough.

>Do you only listen to unknown hipster music with weird album art?
I like weird album art but really I don't care how unknown, contrarian, or popular an album is
>Do you go through phases where you dress and listen to different music. Like 1970s british punk phase, 90's rap phase, jazz phase, etc.
I have a drawer full of band tees I'll never wear again so probably

>Do you only listen to unknown hipster music with weird album art?
no that would be idiotic
>Do you go through phases where you dress and listen to different music. Like 1970s british punk phase, 90's rap phase, jazz phase, etc.
see above answer.
>Do you just listen to everything? Modern rap, old school rap, funk, jazz, classical, top 40, 90s grunge, metal, punk, rock, ska, reggae, foreign, war music, vaudeville music, country, etc.
not everything, but I do not discriminate music based on genre.
>Do you ever come into problems with people you know in real life that hate other genres?
No because I don't talk about the weird noise music I listen to with most people
>Friends that like rap and think country sucks
why would I care
>Friends that like country and hate rap.
See above
>What genres do you hate?
None
>Do you make your own music. What kind?
Yea. In my band I make fairly standard catchy dream pop and garage rock stuff. Alone I make shoegaze/rock with heavy electronics, tribal instrumentation, and prevalent use of musique concrete, but I don't feel comfortable sharing that side of me.
>Do you think genres like noise are not music?
no that's ridiculous

You guys are ok by me
what's your favorite musical /mu/?
Apocalypse Now
South Park Bigger Longer Uncut
I'm neither a homosexual nor a Jew, so I do not have a favorite musical.
I don't come to /mu/ often, but I like music. Whenever I hear somebody claim that lyrics are the most important part of music, I immediately dismiss them as an asshole who doesn't actually like music. So, I'm curious about /mu/'s opinion on this...How important are lyrics to music?
It depends.
depends on the music
for sun kil moon I'd say they're critically important

Opinions?

Perfect in all technical aspects. Songwriting, lyrics, playing, production, etc. As for how much it affects me on a personal level, that varies wildly depending on my mood. Sometimes I think it's the best album ever made, sometimes it makes me nauseous before it's even half done. The drumming is incredible throughout.

One of the best albums of the 70s imo

>>61869560

>>61869587
>implying the op is actually Trent
hahaha oh man you are way off
>>61869587
do you actually think treznor has nothing better to do than go on /mu/
Kanye West is doing a David Bowie covers album
http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/19/thousands-have-signed-a-petition-to-stop-kanye-west-doing-a-david-bowie-covers-album-5632871/#mv-a
Assuming Kanye actually appreciated his music, this is actually kind of sweet. Idk why people are getting so anal over it.
Is it going to be called Blackstar?
>>61869498
kanye haters are some of the most annoying and entitled fucks, and i don't even like kanye that much
