I can't appreciate music. I try to listen to music but I can't grasp the artistic meaning of it. Literature, I get it. But music feels so out of touch and not emotion evoking. Sometimes post-rock does something but that's very rare. What the fuck is wrong with me? I have never heard of anyone who doesn't love music. I never feel like listening to music.
I don't know OP.
anyway, bump.
Has this just been lately or all the time ?
>>61811011
All the time.
I'm not from a first world country, not extremely third world either. So the music I exposed early was mostly movie sound tracks.
I got into actual 'music' when I was around 13/14 with pop songs of that time downloaded from Billboard lists.
Then around 15/16 I started listening to bands of all sort.
What does /mu/ think of Maximo Park, and the general indie British bands of 2005ish?
>>61810310
Absolutely terrible, every single one of them. It brings me great joy that they're all "Who's?" now.
>>61810340
What? Even Nizlopi???
At least there was some decent rock music back then.
these are the reviews for Nils Fram's "spaces"
fuck pitchfork in every way all the time dude
>you must be a boring as fuck conformist or i hate you
kill yourself OP
there are so many things to hate about pitchfork, them disagreeing with your opinion is probably the worst though
How is this man not deaf yet?
>over 60
>still playing shows regularly
hell be fine
Because Swans isn't really that loud. It's not like in the old days of rock where bands would often play stadiums with just their backline (no PA), the volume element in any new rock band is greatly exaggerated.
I've been to Dominican music concerts that are twice as loud as when I saw Swans.

Hey /mu/
I'm looking for releases that you'd say are sort of similar to 'The Glow pt 2' or Phil's other work.
I stumbled onto Duster's Stratosphere the other day, and absolutely fell in love. I'd definitely say it has some Microphones' vibes here and there, especially on Echo, Bravo.

Polvo sort of gets it, but I haven't found anyone as comfy as Phil and Duster at doing what they do.
>>61810039
I see where that was going and I did enjoy. I know it's lazy to ask, but is it entirely instrumental or is there vocals on other tracks.
>>61810099
Nah, they've got vocals on other tracks. If you're interested, start with Today's Active Lifestyles (the album that track was from)

>>61809928
No.
The artist seems to keep singing always is the same way using the same formula and the same voice just to say some different words.

There's a severe lack of DAW descriptions in the wiki. If you're good with your tool of choice, consider writing a paragraph about it.

I sincerely get the feeling that most people on this board are depressed because most of the music is slow or sad.
Are there any of you that like happy and upbeat sounding music?
