I heard that Lennon and McCartney used to kick the shit out of helpless animals... Why didn't anyone stop the Beatles from harming animals?
Because they used to kick the shit out of everyone.
That's why they were the Beat Alls

I know this is entry level as shit, but where do I go from here? I really enjoy this album.

discovered them 8ish years back and never really "moved" to anyone else in related genres. no band of similar style was able to captivate me as brand new did.

Obviously The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me if you haven't already.
Also, I'd say give this a shot:

Modest Mouse. They're touring together for a reason.
Come on, he doesn't deserve SO MUCH hate.
he literally drove Ian Curtis to suicide
But he's a manlet, and worse still a manlet in denial
>>66505669
He is a posturing, self-absorbed pop star whose only claim to fame is making mass market comfort food.
Lets have a Butthole Surfers appreciation thread.

Butthole Surfers sucked
Awful band.
Apologize
nah
I'm sorry Godye

Why? His wife proved that he was lying and Taylor never cheerfully agreed to be called a bitch like he told everybody. Kanye's the guy who lies about getting with the hottest girl in school and then starts harassing her we she ignores him

As much as I love 2004 Smile, why does it sound like fucking karoke music with vocals? The 1967 Smile has this reverby fuzzy atmosphere to it and everything sounds great.
Was it just due to the quality of recording instruments back then?
>>66505328
SMiLe is nothing more than a historical oddity. It is interesting to see an LSD addled schizophrenic produce music. But I certainly wouldn't wish for even my worst enemy to listen to this toddler's buffet.
i'm literally on the exact same page holy shit like 1967 just feels so much more right

I just listened to Red and while thematically I believe In the Court of the Crimson King is superior, musically Red is more interesting.
My dad has all the King Crimson records, which should I check out next?
Larks Tongue and Islands
>>66505221
I asked my pops about both records cause I was digging through his collection recently. He's a fucking drunk now and he doesn't remember anything about Islands or Larks Tongue so I didn't know where to go after Red. All he really remembers is that Thela Hun Ginjeet song from their '81 album.
Thanks

When you're listening to an album for the first time, do you read the lyrics if you can't understand them while the songs playing or do you just sit back and don't worry about hearing the lyrics perfectly?
Which way is better?
>>66505124
i never pay too much attention to an album on my first listen i just put it on in the background to see if i would actually like it by the sound of it
then afterwards i actively listen to it
>>66505124
For a first listen I'm pretty much just feeling it out. I do pay attention to the lyrics but if I don't understand something, I look it up later
>>66505124
First listen I might accidentally pick up some of the lyircs (I tend to pick them out really easily, not necessarily on purpose), but care more about the overall "feels"/tone of the lyrics.
Second time or if something caught my ear I'll pay attention to them. Almost never look them up, unless I'm really struggling for some reason.
Why do people consider this a good band? they are basically a metal version of MSI
>>66504934
because serj is great you jabroni
>>66504934
They are pretty good for the genre. Some lyrics are catchy. Fun to play on drums. I am not into them as much as I was in middle school
>>66504934
>msi
literally who
anyway they're considered good because they're fun, catchy, and energetic. they managed to not sound like every other generic alt metal band from that time

such a lose lose situation for him. he knew this would end up on the internet and did it anyway.
I can't believe how oblivious everyone is to his obvious discomfort.
