what are some good albums with satanic/occult themes?
Behemoth - The Satanist is pretty good
Comus - First Utterance
Godflesh - Streetcleaner
Slayer - Reign in Blood
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Angkor Wat - When Obscenity Becomes the Norm... Awake
Rend Each Other Like Wild Beasts, Till Earth Shall Reek With Midnight Massacre
giving this album a fair chance for the first time tonight. those improvisations on the second platter are super cool.
what're some krautrock albums that /mu/ likes
>>61828862
all of them
Yeti's probably my favorite due to the sheer ambition present in songwriting and arrangement.
There's a bunch of stuff worth checking out with krautrock
You got your big three:
Can (Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, Future Days)
Faust (Faust I and Faust IV)
Neu! (Neu! and Neu! 75)
^get back to Can and Faust for their unreleased and live stuff once you start caring enough about the genre
You got something more psychedelic:
Amon Duul II (Phallus Dei and Yeti)
Xhol Caravan (Electrip, Altena 1969)
You got something more...

What did /mu/ think of this album?
I gave up on Metallica long before St. Anger but I'm half way through pic related and I'm presently surprised so far.
looks like a hairy vagina
metallica is not a very good band imo
it's not bad. the songs are kinda long, but whatever.
people give it shit for being "brick walled" and mastered horribly, but like think about it - you think metallica didn't want it to sound like that? and if they didn't, it wouldn't.
Is there a name for this aesthetic?
