1967 to 1973
1986 to 1991
1998 to 2003
Im guessing this

To me, post-punk is one of the most bland genres there is. Am I missing something, /mu/? Besides a few stellar albums, most post-punk is just boring. It takes the catchy and fun elements out of rock music, but it doesn't have any artistry/new ideas/experimentation/etc to make up for that.
what post-punk do you know?
you should stop listening to shitty joy division derivatives and start listening to the actually interesting post-punk bands

you don't know what you're talking about because post-punk is all about experimentation and you clearly haven't listened to enough of it.

If you don't sympathize with fascism then you can't fully understand Thin White Duke-era Bowie. You can appreciate this phase like a casual pop listener, but you will never truly comprehend the cold raw psychological power of his greatest album which transformed him into a modern-day Caesar. His repeated mentions of fascism in interviews and lyrical references to imperialist strength and Nietzschean elitism during this era weren't simply the ravings of a coke-addled...

0/10, go back to the bunker Adolf.

>I don't understand Nietzche but I have read Kaufmann's rehabilitation efforts
Nietzsche is fundamentally elitist and his writing has strong fascist overtones, even despite his attempts to move beyond political ideology. You cannot reconcile modern leftist thought with Nietzsche.
bump for Nazi Bowie

Where to start? What's the best?

They have 4 albums. Listen to all of them.
The Velvet Underground & Nico
White Light/White Heat (their least accessible)
The Velvet Underground
Loaded (their most accessible)
>>61872461
Thanks man. What about their solos? Anything worth listening to?
Lou Reed's Transformer is probably the best of the solo work.
His collab with Cale, Songs For Drella, is pretty OK.
The Blue Mask is criminally underrated.
If you want more like the first album, listen to Nico's debut.
If you're a cuck, listen to Metal Machine Music.

When will it end?
