Thoughts on this album? I really liked some of Zappa's guitar work here.

But did you shake your booty?
First album I heard of him a long time ago. Gives me good nostalgia.
its alright but i like joe's garage more
So why does /mu/ hate pic related? It seems pretty catchy brit pop with some good sense of melody. Granted, it can be a bit U WOT M8? but not much more to complain about. Is it because the album is overall happy?
>>61916506
boring
the sudden attention it got made /mu/ think it was being viralled, so the contrarians and anti-poptimists had a ball shitting on it despite how good it is
mu used to like it but then mu liked it too much so now mu doesnt like it
now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that this is one of the shittiest, overhyped and overmemed albums of all time?
literally DUDE 9/11 LMAO
>>61916435
>>61916453
fucking retards
the 9/11 gimmick that was tacked on was pretty lame but some of the loops are actually really good
Which Doors album had the best final song? I can't decide. To save research time:
1) The End
2) When The Music's Over
>Pretend Waiting For The Sun/Soft Parade didn't happen
5) Maggie McGill
6) Riders On The Storm
Opinions?
Strange Days. When the Music's Over is the best Doors song in general.

Waitng for the Sun
Five to One
Are you smoking crack?
the end is their best song period.
Any questions? also plebeian/contrarian/patrician thread.
source
>her most acclaimed album is the contrarian option
man i swear these bait threads just keep getting lazier
I feel very strongly about this one
Sup /mu/. How does it feel that all of these little children are better at music than 95% of you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYKLvYGqaC0
doesn't matter how old you are what matters is how much time you have spent learning/practicing
feels almost as bad as knowing that i'll probably never fuck hayley williams
>>61916276
There's an inherent talent element and a personality element as well.
>"waifus" everywhere
>shit indie faggotry
>people theorizing about shit negro rap music
>K-pop
>Unknown bands that try to be indie and only a few hipsters know them
Why has /mu/ turned so shitty lately?, i hardly see a thread about actual music(Jazz, Classical Music, Music theory, and so on).
>>61916073
>lately
because you touch yourself at night.
don't worry bro im fixing it
This is the best pop album of all time.
i don't agree with you but i do think that's a fair statement desu
nice meme
>implying Pet Sounds doesn't exist
>implying Thriller doesn't exist
>implying Hounds Of Love doesn't exist
really I can keep this going on for fucking ever. 808s had a few good songs, but is a pretty fucking shitty album because of so many weak tracks.
Can somebody explain why this album is hailed so highly? It's a mediocre album, and nowhere near Doom's best.
>>61916035
Madlib comes out through with the beats and Doom comes correct with the flow and lyrics. They synergize fairly well you're probably just too pleb to understand it
I personally like Mmm... Food but I can see how this is a more solid album.
Maybe it's just general taste that says this album is the best?
>America's Most Blunted comes on
ITT: Post a pleb artist and its patrician equivalent.
Pleb: Grimes
Patrician: Bjork
Pleb: Bjork
Patrician: Kate Bush
Pleb - Mr. Bungle
Patrician- Red Hot Chilli Peppers
>>61915999
those are both pleb though
everyone should listen to the person who posted before them, or who posts after them (whichever they haven't already heard)
also maybe don't bother with the recs, it just bloats your post and stretches the posts of others. if you want to make a big post, explain your music. tell us why you're making it.
i would enjoy seeing honest feedback here, so i will try to do my best to listen to as many people as i can until i pass out.

Which one?
Siamese Dream
>>61915873
Crooked everytime
>>61915873
Pavement
Beatles > Oasis > Bowie
>>61915872
Oasis are fucking shit montie.
>>61915872
Bowie>beatles>oasis
>Oasis = Beatles
>Blur = Rolling Stones
>Pulp = Kinks
>Suede = Bowie
>Stone Roses = Pink Floyd
Holy fucking shit /mu/. This is THE definitive weed album. A nice bowl makes this go from good dub dream pop album to fucking otherworldly, music from the gods. The vocals are unlike anything I've ever heard, extraterrestrial even, and the tightness of the band throughout the whole thing becomes more apparent when you smoke. You just get lost in the textures of this record.
Any other stuff like this? Also post other albums that sound incredible on drugs.
>>61915845
Hmmmmmm... I'll have to run some tests first.
i know that feel brother
pic related takes me off this earth
Ridiculous fun on acid for the first time.
ITT: Bands with little to zero attention who deserve it. I'll start:
Karma Repair Kit. They only have 6 or so songs out, really cool psychedelic wavey shoegaze type stuff. Released a limited run of just 20 hand numbered glittery cassettes, which stand at a grand total of 4 sales, two of them are me. I feel really bad for them, please go listen.

Post your hidden bands!
Are you Jamie, Alex, Matt, or Robbie?
uh oh
this smells like viraling, or at least it's going to attract some
The Blackshots – they'll release their first album, Medullah, later this year. Don't know any of the members, but I own a signed copy.
