Post albums that go woefully unnoticed by /mu/
Yume Bitsu - s/t btw

Also good too. Got that in a bargain bin when I was in Cleveland ' s Loop.
Hi Anons.
Previous thread >>61968898
When posting an album, make sure to post the FULL LINK for it (if you're posting a link from MEGA, THIS INCLUDES THE DECRYPTION KEY TOO) along with a sample of the album from YouTube (or just upload a track to clyp.it if there's nothing on YouTube), album art, as well as the name of the artist and album. This makes it easier for people to find these albums in the archive after the thread has 404'd.
Feel free to request, but make sure to be polite and post...

Proto-Fedora?
How so?
>>61993886
People claim listening to Pink Floyd is one of the signs of high intellect.
>>61993921
Nah that's Radiohead
What are some of the best female singers?
I realize I'm completely lacking in bands or knowledge of good or even well known female singers. Ridiculous right?
So who are some of the best, who should I listen to? I'm starting with Joplin and Winehouse now, but who next?
Modern, classic, alive, dead, any genre.
>>61993846
best voices? or best music? Joan Baez, Wendy Rene, idk man
>>61993965
Anything really. Either female vocalists or bands fronted by women.
i mean nico, kate bush and bjork are the essential starter pack imo but beyond that it really depends what you're looking for in a vocalist
/vinyl/ general!

Do any collectors even care about 'rare' vinyl stuff? I found a copy of street survivors with the flames and was thinking of selling it if anyone would give a damn.

found this for a quarter at a goodwill so I'll probably sell it, it'll fund my next purchase and a half
>>61993808
Nice. Goodwill is great
How does /mu/ feel about fun.?
First album was good, everything since then has been garbage.
>>61993616
Shite
some nights is right up there with the worst songs i've ever heard
i haven't listened to anything else they've done and i don't really intend to
Jazz thread.
What are you listening to?
What are your favourite albums with slowly, whispery played sax/trumpet?

Is fusion welcome here? If not than >>61993685
And all the early Herbie Hancock stuff like Empyrean Isles and Maiden Voyage
>I'm pretty sure the majority of /mu/ doesn't care at all about music. What they want is feels brought about through lyrics. If there isn't something about being heartbroken and alone filtered through some pseudo-poetic quasi-metaphorical tone, /mu/ passes it over as being shit, wankery, plebish, and a waste of time.
>And yes, I am a fan of The Mars Volta. I'm not butthurt that people here don't like them, I've just come to understand why so much of my taste in music differs so completely...

DUDE
QUEER
LMAO
After browsing /mu/ for about a year I've noticed that I know shit about dick when it comes to music. After browsing countless chart threads I've finally decided to listen to and rate every album on pic related before the end of the year and share it with you all. My ratings are more on the subjective side, so for the most part I am not calling out the quality of the music involved. I will also summarize each album with one or two sentences.
I'll begin with /mu/ core in order of left to right.
1. I love this album so much that I can't listen to it any more.
2. Even while being the exact opposite of what I usually listen to I really enjoyed this album.
3. Bored me to tears.
4. Same as 3. I liked the harp song, robot speech, and last song, but this was just no fun to listen to.
5. First complete listen and this album totally blew my mind.
6. I really have no strong feelings one way or the other on this one. It was a pretty fun listen.
7. This album is amazing from start to finish. I love the wit and anger that this album has on it.
Now, for the Pitchfork-core
1. I have nothing interesting to say about this. It was so boring and unoffensive that I forgot it was on.
2. This is the first full album of his that I've listened to. Kinda fell apart in the last half for me but I really liked it.
3. After I got past the horrible mouth noises on the first couple of tracks I really grew to like this one.
4. This album never fails to give me goosebumps. I listened to it as the movie and I couldn't look away.
5. I... I'm still not sure what exactly I listened to with this one.
6. This was like watching a movie with my ears. Everything felt so effortlessly perfect. I'm in love.
7. Kinda boring, had some good tracks. I'm pretty neutral on it.
8. Wowzers, this one knocked my socks off. It took me a little while to get into it, but it really clicked for me.
9. This album was okay. I liked the bass lines on some of the tracks but it was really just forgettable overall.
>>61993194
Con't..
10. I certainly liked the spoken word stuff more on this album, but the rest was fairly par for the course for them.
Metal Bonus
1. This has been my favorite Metallica album forever. The tracks on this thing still give me chills.
Rate my taste, discuss, and ask me questions!
>>61993194
You're a good man
>>61993074
You can't compare the two.
can't really compare them though. both are aiming for different things
"Up until now I have spent time here, to little avail. The premiere took place yesterday; a mediocre performance (that in Pest was far an away better). The orchestra was bad and malevolent, Bluebeard was sick and completely out of tune. Reception: indifferent. Poor Szenkár really did his best but all his efforts have been jeopardised by too many obstacles. Well, I have had enough of Germans for quite a while! Terrible plebs!"
-Bartók, in a letter to Adila Farachi.
Was Béla Bartók the original Great Patrician?
>>61993065
yes
I asked this question a while ago and never got an answer.
Did Hanon write any other music other than piano exercises?
mega links please
Does anyone have good recordings of Sorabji? Could be anything, idc.
Would you guys consider this album a "grower" or did you get it the first listen?
It's just a bad album.
>>61992888
Its the best pop album of the 00s by a long shot
