>1 minute (or longer) skits tacked onto the end of every track
>6 and a half minutes of pure skits in the middle of the album
Why do people like this?
Because music doesn't have to be serious
>he doesn't skip the skits
The sheer greatness of Rapp Snitch Knishes makes up for it
So, I need some music recommendations.
I currently listen to Imagine Dragons, Bastille, and some Macklemore songs (Otherside, Wing$, Same Love). Y'know, songs with a sort of deeper meaning.
I've also been interested in getting into some Green Day/RHCP type stuff. Any starting points?
Thanks!
good thread
Listen to some of Eminem's older works. Lupe Fiasco and Fort Minor are also decent.
Do these things actually benefit guitarists? Thoughts? Experiences?
Stupid. Just play bass.
the hell are those? Are they supposed to help with dexterity or something?

By that image, I can guess that it is just a cheap way to get money from beginner guitarists. It looks like it's supposed to give you a better grip on the strings, but the best way to do that is practice.
Why are The Beatles so loved even though they're shit?
Their lyrics are dumb and pointless, their music is monotonous and simple, and they only made success because teen girls thought they were pretty. The only difference between the Beatles and a sub par boyband is that the Beatles didn't stop making music after they got addicted to hard drugs.
Is it just nostalgia?
they were good at making songs that have good melodies
that's it
the beatles were good songwriters

I get it, but it isn't a reason to consider them geniuses or anything other than ordinary. Every pop artist is capable of producing melodies that stick with people
Is there anyone in the music industry more washed up than he is?
Dennis Wilson
>>63192656
There was a two page article in The Sun (terrible UK tabloid) today about how he's broke after his divorce and love child and now spends his days getting shitfaced in the pub and then going home to rant on Twitter. Yeah he's washed up. And going bald apparently, kek.
Original line-up reunion when

Fuck Panda

Kill Duck Dynasty
Ignore John Cena

Where's kanye
More like this?
Very atmospheric, engulfing, slightly dark, slightly funny, narrative and/or thematic?
Is there an album like this at all? I've never heard something similar to Eskimo, even in The Resident's own discog.

Why is the group considered good? They are an exact clone of Spacemen 3 and their music doesn't hold up against Spectrum or Spiritualized.
They've got a pretty wild reputation from their front man kicking people in head at shows and posting bullets and being slightly eccentric. The music and art design make it worth while exploring as well.
>>63192300
It's a bit unfair to call them just a clone of Spacemen 3. They've managed to rip of just about EVERY good psyche band that came before them.
watch the documentary Dig! about them and the Dandy Warhols
Hey /mu/tants. I need a new black metal album to listen to. I rarely can listen to metal because my gf hates it, but I have a small window of time to listen to some metal. Recommend me some black metal from after 2005.
Scar Sighted
Try Sunbather, I'm sure even your gf's son will enjoy it.

OP here. Great choice. Unfortunately I've already listen to that one a bunch of times.
>>63192315
Another great choice. I have this album on vinyl at my place. So obviously I've listened to it a lot.
Great choices, guys. But I need something I haven't heard.
THIS IS THE WORST TRIP

also a perfect placeholder until Jai Paul gets it the fuck together
I'm new to this /mu/ thing so I'm going to get high as possible and critique this album for you.
Strong start so far.
Op this is okay but it's basically just pop music. It's nothing special musically.
>Gorillaz is great (excluding The Fall)
>Damon's solo album is alright
>his other various musical projects are pretty good
>Blur are thoroughly awful
Seriously, what gives?
>>Gorillaz is great
All of those are bad but Blur is the most listenable of them.

Dumb frogposter.
I just listened to this for the first time. It's beautiful...
I've heard so many people say it's their worst, and after listening to Souvlaki and the previous albums so many times, couldn't avoid it any more. Incredible
>>63191183
Thoughts?
>>63191183
My favorite of their work. Maybe I'll give it a spin tonight, haven't listened in a long time. Really resonates with me
it's their best album, and almost paradoxically, it doesn't get better with repeated listens.
is this shit good?
