I'm trying to get myself into some brutal stuff, I'm thinking Cattle Decapitation, but I need some suggestions
I know I'm going to get shit for this, but if you're just getting into "brutal" music, start with the first Suicide Silence EP.
Avoid the rest of their music, though. It's the only good thing they've ever released.
So dude from the Protomen turned out to be a statutory rapist. Anyone else got experience with bands/musicians whose music you like a lot but who you have a hard time listening to now because they turned out to be huge scumbags in real life?
What does /mu/ think of them?
I feel that their sound has always been very layered with a lot of sophistication and with innovation, very grand/anthem sounding and with substance.
Their albums carry multiple hits.
Unfortunately their latest albums have been too minimalist and sounding of less effort. Depeche Mode is supposed to have a powerful sound.
ITT: we say what pedals we currently have in our rig, what type of music we play and what pedals we want.
> Danelectro Spring King, Black Russian Big Muff modded to be a Green, Korg Pitch black Tuner
> Kinda garage punky/rock alt rock
> Want a DD-7 and Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus, maybe a Fender Blender
Don't have any yet, but getting most likely getting a Boss DD-7 and Crowther Hotcake overdrive tomorrow. Then I'll probably buy a shitty chorus and a shitty reverb pedal because /poor/
I run both of these for bass guitar. They're gonna serve you well, I don't really see any need to replace them ever unless I happen upon something that just does a better job across the board.
The unknown 10/10 of /mu/.
Pretty much that. Don't post /mu/core. Memes are welcome.
What's his name again, /mu/?
What genre is venom?
Who else loves this album? What are your favorite tracks off of it? It's becoming my favorite AnCo release the more i listen to it.
What does /mu/ think of Bad Religion?

The White Album is looking very promising. As of now half the album has been released and every track so far is pretty good, with Thank God for Girls and Do You Wanna Get High being some of the best stuff they've done since Green Album or Pinkerton.
which is the best
post music from local bands or artists dead or alive that have heavy influence attributes no matter the subject.
woodie from bay area california, deceased but has some of the best lyrics in music check him out
Chicano Batman, local band here in east LA. Saw them at a Santa Monica last year, damn good show. Their whole sound is a groovy warm psychedelic fun trip, lots of old schoolish influences
