Who cares, Jazz is an anti-intellectual genre.

I'm a trash film major. I've never been what I'd call "good at music"- when I listen to something and form a connection with it, I can't be doing any other activity. I like to use all my brain power to digest music, which after a while felt daunting so I'd stick to what I knew or what friends listened to. I guess in that way I became "accepting" of all sorts of genres.
I didn't do a lot of extreme musical exploration until my major started demanding it- the right music for the right feel, ya know. Each project requires...

Try anything from the album Pink Moon by Nick Drake
It's guitar folk but it fits what you described.
bump for interesting thread. It would be helpful if we could watch part of the film...

Does it depend on the genre? I've heard that Dubstep/electronic music has the most amount of people that do that, but I'm more into rock/metal.
No, I doubt I'd ever get the opportunity, but I like the idea of it when I go to concerts alone.
its not common between total strangers, unless you're very attractive.
Youll hook you anywhere if you know how to talk to a girl and arent a social autist
I got laid after a Skinny Puppy concert by a gal I met at the show. And I went to that show alone.

this may sound edgy as fuck but i quite never understood sung tongs as when i listened to it while walking down a graveyard, just the feeling of emptyness and nothingness that those simple chords evoke meda me love this band

Sort of unrelated, but in middle school when I was getting into Zeppelin I had an uncle that swore The Rain Song was a great ballad, and I never had the patience for it. When my grandpa died we were on the way to his memorial and it was raining, those days when your parents still drove you and you had complete trust in them, never even thought about traffic, and I listened to it looking out the window and it finally clicked.
I think people have moments of openness, and sometimes certain things have to catch...

this is actually pretty good. dunno why people seem to group it with his later work that all turns to shit.
business, cleaning out my closet, square dance, say goodbye hollywood, without me, and til i collapse are legitimately some of eminem's best songs.
His production is better and he has more confidence in his rapping, his flow is often better than on MMLP though he usually goes a bit slower.
the bad songs are worse than, but the best songs are just as good as those on on MMLP; this is still a very solid album, waaaay closer to SSLP and MMLP than...

Could someone elaborate? What makes this album good? After multiple listens, I cant seem to grasp it. I can understand its excellence from a musical standpoint, but the lyrics seem lazy and meaningless. Maybe someone could explain.
The trick is its not good. Swans aren't that good, but its fucking cool to like them so every fucking hipster that wants to jump on in to something fucked up and heavy suddenly has a valid say
avant teen trash people only listen to along with their swans t shirts so they can look eclectic and cultured for social meme points, dont fall for it OP
