Let's get a Grateful Dead thread going
is anybody picking up pic related on record store day?
>>63312040
When does it come out? Is Bobby singing or do they have Phil covering?
>>63312176
RSD is on 3/16 so I'm guessing then. I think its a record store exclusive though. I don't know if it's Bobby or Phil, you could probably look up Grateful Dead Capitol Theater April 25, 1977 and see who's performing.
I'm opening a record store and need to carry rap and hip hop. Unfortunately I know nearly nothing about those genres and need to know what to carry. You guys have any recommendations?

Nightwish and Cradle of Filth
Welcome to what is perhaps the first Ghost general thread.

Damn I should have re-titled the title of the image. the "720x405" is really distracting.
>>63311337
I've seen them a bunch of times since when they started. I don't really like the new vocalist. All their songs keep a pretty even quality level, which is nice and not very common. Their newest album is definetely the weakest though. Fun to see some new non-EDM music from Sweden reaching semi-mainstream abroad.
Opus=Infesti > Meliora.
Yup, that's my abstract of Ghost.
>>63311536
They don't have a new vocalist, the identities of the band members are pretty much confirmed now. I think the singer changes his singing style in each album.
I'm completely in the opposite boat here. I first heard them back with Secular Haze and it didn't gel well with me at all. I gave them a 2nd chance with Meliora and instantly fell in love with the music. It is definitely more layered and complex than their 2nd album (after listening to it), though after repeated listens Infesti grew on...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Is his music pleb? The only jazz I know is Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and Miles Davis. Is he popular because hes pleb or is he popular because he's good? If not direct me towards more patrician jazz
mu is very weak at recommending jazz, even RYM is probably better honestly
>>63311038
sounds like you should probably wait a year or two before trying to get in to jazz t b h
>>63311080

Any Andrew Hill fans? I've gotten into his music recently and I think he is one of jazz's best composers. I also think he might be one of the most easily recognizable piano players, other than maybe Monk.
So what are your favorite albums by him and favorite tracks from these albums? What other players use a similar approach that I should check out?
>>63310644
Fuckign love black fire!!!1!

Black Fire is good but Point of Departure and Compulsion are about as good as it gets
