It's bad. It's so bad.
Why didn't anyone warn me?

I have been saying this since first listen. Retard fanboys kept on spouting how good it is.
Go listen to James Farroroo instead

Hahahaha holy shit, how does anyone like this? This is without a doubt the biggest disappointment that an Avalanches album could be. I can't believe that I finally got to listen to the long awaited 2nd LP from The Avalanches, and instead of amazing sample based music it was rappers awkwardly shouting over misplaced music for an hour.
Anyone who thinks they like this is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Just accept it's awful and move on. It's not even the same group of guys anyway. They simply tried to grab some cash based on a name, and successfully tricked...

>H-How dare you! This is indubitably the greatest piece of plunderphonic art ever created! Ahhh Frankie Sinatra!!!
Nah, it's a 9/10. Literally on par with SILY. If you don't agree you are mentally ill and should consider suicide.
scaruffi is often right even if he is a contrarian
downward spiral is an easy 8.5
>>66220238
yeah, well, I mean, he is right...
>>66220360
it's not even contrarian to like NIN
they're one of the most acclaimed industrial bands ever. Trent Reznor is hugely famous, he has done soundtracks for blockbuster hits and video games that have sold multi-millions.
this is one of the rare instances where Scaruffi actually agrees with normal critics and feels that a popular artist has earned their praise, at least for this one album.
>band is called Rome
>they're from Italy
>band is called of Montreal
>they're from the US
>Band commemorates 9/11 by naming themselves 21 Pilots
>There were 19 known pilots

i laughed at this
I showed a girl The Brave Little Abacus and she said it reminded her of Twenty One Pilots.
Hey guys, I was just having this debate with a friend and thinking it was an interesting idea- BUT do you think it's possible to start a band and remain completely anonymous (besides wearing masks)? It's been done, yes, but in a city setting with loading in gear/instruments/ and being at local shows I can only think of so many ideas on how to keep a low profile of that magnitude. Ideas?
>>66219692
Also- Anonymous band general
>>66219692
every band who did it so far has revealed themselves at some point
I think Cro in germany is still anonymous, what I can recommend is being your own roadie

Are you aware that Billy Corgan now regularly appears on the second largest pro wrestling show?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3MRi1HdVos
remember when he called pavement sell outs just for doing a reunion tour lol
>>66219849
Well, in all fairness, he goes on tna because he is a massive wrestling fan.
>Someone asks Billy if he wants to do something for TNA
>Turns out to be wrestling
>No tits anywhere
>No ass anywhere

Thoughts?
So sick, listened to it tons until I realised I had the mono shit version few days ago, now I'm just waiting for HQ leak so I can enjoy it fully. Really nice choons, got the classics of Cheetah3 and 7, then the super-chill roller T2 and the HAB/AB/RDJA sounding Cirklon1, those pads at the end hnnnnnnnng.

Not even close, but its miles better than ODS and CCAI, and cus I didn't pay for it I can only be super thankful. Really diggin the 50's vintage sci-fi feel of it aswell, thematically better than his other EP's as of late.

Here's my short spiel about Wildflower:
Don't it make you want to go out and create music?
This is music by musicians for musicians and people that just straight up see the joy in music. The Avalanches are a collective, and Wildflower really felt like a Gorillaz-type collaborative effort of an album. Makes me want to go out and make fun, happy, joyous music for myself.
Always with a slight edge of melancholy, of course. ;)
