Didn't see any chart threads so I thought I'd start one
rec, r8, and whatever else
I'm looking for a lot of recs, I feel like my taste is pretty limited and I'm trying to branch out
I'll try to rec if I can.
i don't fuckin know
what's your favourite thing in music
what about the albums on your chart make you go "oh wow man" or "that's it right there"
Anyway, to answer your question, what gets me most in music is the proper mix of technicality and knowledge of music with a genuine sense of purpose, concept, and emotion
Eddie Hazel - Games, Dames, and Guitar Thangs
Captain Beefheart - Safe as Milk
Labradford - literally anything
Magnog - s/t
Clinic - Internal Wrangler
Nick Nicely - any of the comps of his weird synthy psychpop from the 80s/late 70s
James Black Ulmer
No this chart isn't a joke.
I'm that much of a pleb.
You're pretty much beyond saving. I guess you could check out Godspeed You! Black Emeror, King Crimson, and some more Chemical Brothers though...
If someone could give me some recs, that would be awesome.
Yggdrasil is ok I guess
David Thomas Broughton
No Pink Floyd please.
<<< post covers now!
ITT: we post albums and the ideal way of listening to them
>lying in bed smoking spliffs

>Lay in bed and listen to Summer Nites.
Post sexy musicians in this thread.
I'm a no-name artist that has not released any music yet and cannot play live. Should I just release my music on soundcloud/bandcamp and hope that people will listen to it? Or should I send out demos to record labels to see if they might want to promote/make physical copies? I think my music is good enough for that but I kind of just want to release stuff and get it over with. Is it worth waiting around in case I get a bite from a label? Or would it be better off just to release the stuff myself?
>mfw sent my music to several labels, radio stations and music journalists
>none of them have responded yet
Never give up promoting, whatever path you choose
>hopes for bp
