I'm currently really into Fall '73 as far as the Dead goes. Also I've way overplayed pic related.
I do really enjoy the dead but their improv stuff is really hit or miss if you aren't whacked off on acid
Favorite track is Dark Star from Dicks Picks Vol. 4
I cant find a single jam band i really enjoy besides Dead and Phish and their related sidegroups. Help me internet friends
Lil Yachty is more original than swans, death grips, joanna newsom, and animal collective combined
why do pussies hate him?
>This is not bait

Were they ever good?
>>66222288
Their first two albums are Nu-metal classics
When I was 10, yes.
Its always impressive when an album manages to capture a certain emotion perfectly
Name a SINGLE band that was able to do this with angst once, let alone twice like LP.
Can /mu/ recommend me any progressive rock that isn't pretentious and over-the-top theatrical? I usually listen to punk and pop, and I realized that I've never given art rock a fair shot, but I do love Television
Go listen to Peter Gabriel 3 (Melt) right now for some wonderful art rock

Rush - Permanent Waves
Listen to Magma
Hard to argue that they're not pretentious and over-the-top, but their angry jazz-metal symphonies are the perfect antidote to Dream Theatre fussiness or theatre-nerd Rush-style horseshit.

If you like Steve Earle try his album Transcendental Blues. It's post-cocaine Steve and has a triumphant, confessional feel to it.
Good luck.
Codeine

Are these worth purchasing?

I use iTunes at the moment, and my library isn't very large but I'm looking to expand it.
If I do buy this, I'm probably going to switch to Windows Media Player just becuase iTunes is terrible and can't even play flac.

Ernst Karel - Swiss Mountain Transport Systems
My favorite song on the album has to be “Manifest”, which sounds to me like the most multi-faceted and complex song on the album. There are a few wonderful sequences in the album, but a lot of the album seemed to be rather unextraordinary. The excellent or creative parts would come after long hiatuses. All-in-all it’s a pretty good album though.
7/10
DUBS DECIDES NEXT ALBUM. WILL STAY TO SEE WINNER THEN REVIEW WINNER TOMORROW.
Just realized I used the word "album" a fuckton in this review. Oh well. I'll proofread better next time.
