What does /mu/ think of iron and wine?
>>63410276
I went through a indie-folk phase where I thought he was amazing. Now he just bores me.
Good for the feels
Such Great Heights was playing in the restaurant when I had my first date with my ex-gf

Who are you most stoked for?
Sick thanks a lot!
Definitely Roam and Real Friends. I'm glad there's some good pop punk this year, especially even old pop punk like New Found Glory
Isn't it supposed to be announced next week? Howd you get it?
Fuck Falling In Reverse
Over an hour of music, designed to induce trances, possession states, and out-of-body experiences. Not a "record," but a philosophical tool.
Accompanied by booklet exploring the why and how and history of trance, the illusion of the self, and why some people commit suicide, ignore stab victims on the street, and have their consciousness shaped by light and sound.
Anyone interested in this? Would be happy to upload for you guys
>>63410179
Is it worth listening to?
>>63410192
I don't know.
I haven't listened to it. A friend sent it to me, and I just felt like sharing/seeing if you guys wanted it as well.
>>63410179

Uh, what the fuck is this shit? Someone please explain it to me. I find it hilarious that people actually enjoy this.
One of Merzbow's lesser works that got attention because of a pitchfork review. It also has a memorable cover.

kek that niggas face like "fucking white people smfh"
So I got myself a turntable. Its a modified Audio Technica PL-120 with a different cartridge and a bunch of damping under the platter and has the preamp stage removed. It was super cheap so it basically was a thrift shop impulse buy. I got to "test" it at the thrift shop, but with their old 45 and it worked well enough it seemed.
As of now, I don't have any LPs to test how well it actually works. Which are good ones that are recommended to just test out the sound, regardless of taste?
Turntable general as well to keep this more open and so this can be here for a while.
Skinny Fists is kind of essential.
The Bowie Reissues sound very good as well.

>Which are good ones that are recommended to just test out the sound, regardless of taste?
Rage Against the Machine's s/t is my go-to for testing a setup. Not even memeing. The production on that thing is immaculate and incredibly detailed and balanced.
Also Steely Dan - Aja is a tremendous test for a new setup.
>>63409930
I'd have to suggest this. The reissues quality is surprisingly stellar, and at least in my area they're cheap af
Does anybody want to talk about how brilliant this album is?
Why isn't this /mu/core?
The production is out of this world
and the songwriting is pretty damn good too!
Sorry but it's just a bad album. It's not that good. Songs are forgettable, mediocre, sometimes aggravating. Just don't like it
Overrated shit.
>>63409878
I KNOW
funny I was just listening to this
the textures and all that good shit.
the best out of the three albums
>>63409956
how the fuck
This glorious album came out today. Waco by the band Violent Soho
Your band is fucking try hard
>>63409799
How so?
Pretty good, some of the songs fall short though.
What does /mu/ think of Halsey? And of course, other artists of a similar caliber, i.e. Twenty One Pilots, Melanie Martinez, Lana Del Rey, Troye Sivian, etc.
cute but shit music. nothing new.
Tryhard. Her album made me want to listen to The Neighbourhood, and I don't even like them that much, but better than Badlands. It's ethereal and powerful at times, but it doesn't pull it off well and comes across as forced.
