Why do I feel so much self hatred when I hear about this band? I'm not even trying to shit post or trash the band, I'm being fucking earnest. I just start to fucking hate myself and feel like garbage. I'm pro lgbt and an atheist too.

who even are these people?
http://www.scaruffi.com/vol3/bowie.html
Where were you when Scaruffi became a patrician?
fuck you dude
Not even in your wildest dreams, Reddit.
haha man you got me :)
I'm hoping this is a valid thread and hoping to pick up any info from you guys. Who discovered music and how?.
I'm a bit drunk right now and enjoying myself. I like to listen to music of my past and the music videos I have enhance the experience and let me reminisce about my past. It's always better with music and music videos. I don't feel this way without music. Did the people who invented have the desire to make people feel this way or is just incidental? Sorry if I'm vague.

>I'm a bit drunk right now
OH IT SHOWS
cavemen and shit banging rocks against other rocks and making rhythmic noise that they could move their bodies to because music is fundamentally instinctively entertaining
that's who discovered music
Music began in 1910 when Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, the list could go on were born
>Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love
I was probably 4 years old and it was playing on the car radio
Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets
my dad had a CD that he made for whenever we were in the car, and i usually only left to go to church as a kid, so now I associate that song really strongly with that time
Possibly some Dionne Warwick sings Bacharach

With all of the time they've spent making LP9 and all the backlog of material they haven't given a proper release, let alone all of the songs we don't even know exist, I wouldn't be surprised if we were gonna get a double or even triple LP.
nah it's gonna be one disc. double albums are for stuffy old prog bands
>implying they have all actively worked on LP9 since 2011
>>63438279
They've only been working on it since late 2014/15
I have become addicted to making shitty home recordings using a USB mic and a personal collection of musical items
buy an audio interface and then make some not so shitty recordings
nice. i hope you get better at it and release something for people to enjoy
>>63438177
Fuck that, man
I like the lo fi element it adds to it

>Dark star
lol
What made David Bowie so universally loved?
Have you met anyone who didn't like Bowie?
>>63436254
i don't like him
I don't like Bowie. AMA.
I don't like him very much either. I don't know if I ever "met" myself though.
what does /mu/ think of unwound
>>63436087
Love them. Slint and Pulvo are also pretty cool.

>that part at 7:14
overrated af here but they made cool shit
What do you think about Future /mu/?
I don't
i couldn't listen to him at all because his voice and his general style was just really fucking annoying to me and i couldn't understand what he was saying and all that
then one day my throat was really sore and hurting and i could barely talk and some guy invited me to this party and i went along regardless because why not and dude was playing future
and suddenly i could understand everything he was saying and it all made sense
he just perpetually has a sore throat
i still don't like him tho
>>63435947
I try not to. That "Turn On The Lights" song, or whatever its called, is seriously the worst song I've ever heard. That shit's worse than Brokencyde.
>go to record store today

did this new memenyl craze start with hipster kids buying lame rock and pop records? where do i find house music singles?
why is this considered a bad album again?
>>63435510
because the internet
>>63435543
No one appreciates him because he isn't "hard".
Would any of you Taylor Swift, Grimes and Chvrches fans like the music if they looked like this? If the answer is no then you can drop the "but I genuinely like the music!" meme
what if you like chvrches for the guys?
I don't even like their music. I just like how they look. The fact that they look so good just reinforces on the shitty music that they produces.
>>63435304
Wait, that's not Grimes? Are you sure?
Is it weird that I don't like listening to music through headphones? It feels sort of aurally claustrophobic. I prefer having the music fill the air around me.
yeah it's weird
>>63434732
But then you can't hear every fine detail.
You at least have to listen to your favorites in headphones.
>>63434732
Nah I'm with you anon. I like the sound "hitting" me than just in my ears. Feels fuller. Headphones are a concession so we don't bother our neighbors, it's just that we want the best possible headphones for that is all.
