I had a dream that I met Michael Gira. As soon as I talked to him I was completely convinced he couldn't have done it.
The next day he died, and I cried for hours.
ITT: Post musician deaths that will crush you, and how you think they will die.
>>63514161
I won't be able to handle it
Probably a rabid fan will stab him
Ive had the Michael Gira dream too, i met him at a spot in my town where something life affecting happened to me
He treated me in a way as if it were how he really wanted to assert towards people, not the personable person he's known to be
Just very intimidating and mocking, yet in a way informs some personal understanding and confidence in me
I've dreamt of other /mu/ characters before too

I ended up giving Diana a listen and think it's a great track but I need to finish the rest of the album
DIANA DIANA DIANA
I have had a guitar for 10 years now and during that time I also had guitar lessons for like two years. The problem is that my teacher was some old blues playing dude who just gave me shitty pop songs I did not want to play.
In those 10 years, I hardly ever practiced; maybe two or three times I sat down for one hour to learn a specific song, but most of the time I fool around not getting anywhere.
I am at a point where I technically know a lot of different stuff (when no guitar is around I could pass as a decent guitarist in a conversation), but my play is horribly...

If you have bad habits, break those bad habits then practice more.

You need to do those "sit down to learn a song" more often. That's it
>the problem is
You didn't start playing classical guitar and weren't diligent.

So, I was thinking…you guys remember Noisia? I know they have EDM elements, but they also predate EDM (since, after all, Skrillex's infamous "bass wobble" came from trying to copy Noisia).
Obviously they are bass music, they definitely do have some blatantly EDM songs, but are they an EDM band, or do they successfully avert that (like Justice or Daft Punk)?
One of their albums for reference:

I'm kind of asking because I re-listened to a few tracks off this album recently,...

Though this album is apparently a collaboration they did with Foreign Beggars? Forgot about that.

>Skrillex's infamous "bass wobble" came from trying to copy Noisia
what the fuck
>>63512772
"I was just copying Noisia's sound at first, their synthesis. I would hear their sounds and go "fuck, how the fuck do they do that?" I would try to make their sounds, and then it turned into its own sound itself, within [Native Instruments] FM8, which is what I was using for my best growly sounds. It turned into its own thing because I was trying to do something else, but that's all part of the fun, accidental, experimental thing with music, where you A-B something to death and suddenly it...

It feels like people are watching you fuck up
it feel like someone choke on your neck and then you pass out :^(
Imagine a bunch of strangers staring at you while you play music for them.
