What do you guys think about Yotam Perel's cover albums?
>>66245339
Yotam is such a cool hybrid artist.
his animations are such a break-away from his music style that it's hard to see those two performers as a single person.
that being said I hope he picks up and gains the influence he deserves.

They're usually pretty great but on his last two he sounded tired of them. I want him to make a full Strokes cover album, he covers them so much already. That or more original albums, Silly String was great.

really loved warning 5
Does /mu/ like Tori Amos?
>>66245314
don't know about /mu/ but I was a huge fan of her work up to Scarlett's Walk. She kinda fell off my radar after that. I re-ripped my CD's to lossless this week and have been listening to her a lot.
i was one of those obsessives who collected all the cd singles with the b-sides and shit. really hoping she shakes up her sound at some point. it's getting samey sounding. the beekeeper was the last tori album i liked start to finish.
I would tori her amos if you know what I mean
this is true, congrats
although idk why you grouped swans with those guys
spirit of eden is better though

when that one guy shows up at the thread
what do you think of the last shadow puppets? besides "le arctic monkees sux" meme, I think their two albums are really comfy
this new one is pretty great, even though the debut remains my favorite.
my complaints are that it's too short and some of the songs aren't as strong as they probably could've been, i.e. "Sweet Dreams, TN" and "Bad Habits". 2nd half just doesn't do it for me as much as the first half, but i still enjoy v much.
I've heard a few songs here and there cause one of my best friends is an AM/Alex Turner superfan and honestly it hits me like a wall of flavourless mashed potato
Completely bland, and I like AM, even some of their newer stuff has its merits
Turner lost all his talent and dresses like hes in a Broadway musical about the 50s
Whats your favorite album to dance to, /mu/?
Pic related is mine.
>>66245134
I generally dont dance in my free time but I do really enjoy some Justice songs. Favorite album that has dancing potential would probably be this one. Its not their best album but its their danciest, and i'd choose it over any other EDM.
Really the only album I've ever danced to other than club songs
What are good albums with 2 drummers?
slipnknot but they have THREE dummers so i dont know they coutn :)
bumping for interest

Personally, I'm all for Lorde. She's a solo act, while Lavren needs her band to basically do the song writing for her lol. Lorde is also unique and mysterious whereas Lav is pretty much a Stacey
Long live Lorde!
LLL --------------> she's the best
(aha sorry Lavies!)
>>66244261
Lorde honestly
>>66244261
she is sexy.
lavren is boring
Lorde has people do shit for her too. That being said i would happily buy her dinner and give her kisses on the lips
Ariel Pink bans everyone who does not support Trump for president in 2016 from his shows
>Grimes bans ariel's fans in her 2016 shows
>fans boycott Grimes shows
>St Vincent bans anyone who's heard a Skrewdriver song on youtube from her shows
>Entire album is just one song
>Entire song is just one album
>Entire album is post-rock
Every album I've heard that's like this just screams "We just wanted to make an album that was one song" to me. It never feels natural or authentic at all, and in some cases it just sounds like a lot of songs that segue into each other without track markers put in. I wish people would only tackle stuff that they feel like they can do, not just do stuff just to do it. It would simplify stuff, so when you listen to an album that consists of only one song, you can be confident that the concept meant something.
10/10 Albums
