So is this guy actually good or is it just a meme?
Who even decides this shit
This really isn't bad
these are the most talked about albums on this board nowadays, the updated /mu/core
It's not controversial to say these are Green Day's worst albums, but are they really as abhorrent as their reputation suggests? Is there anything salvageable from them? Which one is the worst?
I'd argue that 12st Century Breakdown has a few decent songs, it's just trying too hard to be American Idiot II.
To answer OP, "X-Kid" is a genuinely good song, and Dos is the worst album. "Ashley" is the worst song the band ever wrote.
Nimrod was good. "Hitchin a Ride" is my favorite Green Day song.
>Welcome to /mu/, how contrarian are you?
why isn't he discussed/referenced more in popular culture than someone like the Beatles, when he was arguably more influential?
Is... is he not?
Bob Dylan lines are fucking quoted in court cases sometimes. I'd say his "image" isn't quite as popular as the Beatles, and his most well known songs aren't as popular as the Beatles' most well known songs (barring Like a Rolling Stone, maybe), but in terms of being iconic and being referenced/talked about I'd say they're about equal.
Step aside, Blackstar, the AOTY is here.
first and foremost, this
second of all, it's a decent mixtape but it's definitely not AOTY material even if it were an album. Let's be real. If you sincerely believe this is AOTY material you're a joke.
and the reason it isn't AOTY is because it's another flavor of the week artist making some of the same bullshit everyone else is making. Lil Yachti, Future, Fetty Wap, Metro Boomin...trap beats with auto-tuned indistinguishable vocals
why is this regarded as the most important album of the noughties?
Not even the best Post-Punk revival album of its decade.
No /dgg/ ? Fixed
I'm getting fucking tired of these K-pop threads. Is 4chan really full of 13 year old girls for real? The music isn't even so good and you can't even understand the lyrics..
Musik- > Music > Song > Tune > Beat
Are you a beatpleb or do you listen to good musik-, /mu/?
Musik: music made for the sake of art and aesthetic value alone without concern for rhythm or the pleb's tastes
Music: music made for the sake of art yet made following the plab standards of what music is about
Song: a tune that transcends commercial tune but doesn't achieve song status just yet
Tune: made only to appeal to plebs, cares more about being catchy than about the artistic qualities
Beat: dancing noise
Why does argentina have by far the best music of latin america?
