Holy shit I'm listening to 666 and it just went to that part in All the Seats were Occupied where it starts repeating earlier bits of the album. The first time I heard that I had never heard anything like it and I swear it was consciousness expanding.
When the drums kick in after the second chorus in "Hotcha Girls". I've never been much a fan of the whole "musicgasm" concept because of how dumb it sounds, both in name and concept, but holy SHIT I got the chills something awful the first time I heard it.

Either this one or Jenny Death
Which one is better?
>>66248499
Sigur Ros
>>66248499
mogwai
Sigur Ros is a better band but I like F#A# more than Agaetis Byrjun.
>implying it won't get a 9.6
>>66248485
It'll get a high score because some white guys made it with their goal in features being people who go against the grain. These people are black rappers who mentions injustices against blacks a few times. Since white people are being conscious of blacks, it's 8.5+ BNM.
>>66248485
I hope it gets a score that high. It deserves it imo
>>66248485
God I truly hope it is that high
Can we talk about how fucking good this album is? Does it contain a single flaw?
The flaw is that Untitled is the only good song.
if only avey's voice weren't panned to the left, then it would be perfect
>Flaw
Literally the first song
Is /mu/ an intellectual board for music discussions?
>>66248311

Example: vaporware
An entire "genre" that's completely dependent on how nice your album cover is

Why do boring faggots always undermine visual art?

Did you post a likable album? I can't see past the EITS one?
I thought it was one of the more interesting entries in their discog desu
It's good, but it's very shallow
why don't they tour?
>>66247235
Why would they? So we can watch them press play and then stand awkwardly in the shadows as far back on stage as they can possibly get?
i would pay good money to see them live
Their last live act was in 2002. Something happened that day.
To our ears Cheetah is a continuation of the endless proof that comes with each new record that Aphex is one of the greatest experimental musicians the world has ever seen. Much like Iannis Xenakis's experiments in 1961 pioneering the use of computers to compose music, Aphex Twin in 2016 is a sound scientist whose tools others can't even begin to comprehend the workings of. By using a piece of impossibly rare equipment to compose an extended player, he has done what few others ever will, producing sounds out of the machine that, at the time of its creation, its designers...

Maybe the 80's were not as bad as I once thought
You are just now getting to XTC? Well, enjoy it.
>>66246796
I got into XTC a while ago.
>>66246774
Yeah I always heard that 80s music was trash, but then I listened to
New Order - Power Corruption and Lies
Talking Heads - Remain In Light
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
turns out the 80s has a lot of great stuff
