hell be fine
Man, that's fucked.
I saw PIL live a couple of years back and they were killer, I was blown away by how fantastic they were.
>>63650204
fuck :(
We better not lose him.
Reminder that if you like Aurora's music but you don't enjoy Sia nor Lorde you are just hopping on a new bandwagon for the newest cool thing to like.
That or you're a waifufag
>>63650146
But anon, I enjoy Sia's voice yet find her songwriting generally stale, and Aurora is like Sia with a qt accent and songs that are actually written well.
Lorde's voice is annoying but Pure Heroine is an okay album.
>>63650182
Then you're alright
Reminder that if you enjoy female popstar who tries to be "avant garde" #905 you're a bandwangoning faggot.
Does /mu/ listen to Robbie Williams at all?
I like his swing album but I'm more of a Take That guy
>>63649916
Wow, I'm the opposite of that. I like all of Robbie's albums except the swing ones (he has two) and I am not fond of Take That (Everything Changes is still a great song though).
R.i.p. funnyman :-(
would you rather cheese dip or robert fripp
>>63649641
samefag vote for cheese dip just because it's better and more fulfilling
>>63649641
cheese dip for sure
cheese gives me acne :(
Holy shit, this is actually great. Its like Young Thug but a little psychedelic
>its like young thug
Oh, so it's like trash.
So it's garbage.

NIGGA PROCEEEED
>>63649417
Cucktano likes it. All I've heard is the MInnesota remix. Wouldn't bother listening to a full project from this nigga
Post Classical music and discuss.
Reminder.

Permanently underrated.
Nub here, can you point me in the direction of something like this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2U-lL_qdTI
Sorry if this is the wrong thread but would be appreciated.
I don't get it. What's this? Why would you release noise to the public? This is not music.
nice meme
Its not music at all. I dare one of you hip hoppers to explain this meme to me.
>>63649324
>Why would you release noise to the public?
Because you realize that there's people dumb enough to spend money on it out there.
Welcome to noise music: a well-oiled hustle taking advantage of pseudointellectuals worldwide.
Why does /mu/ hate this album?
Because it's a classic and normies love it
>>63649403
this
>>63649403
>2012
>it's a classic
wow, didn't expect this to be such a really good album
>>63648887
How does it compare with Light Up Gold? That's the only one of theirs that I've really liked
>>63648916
Surprisingly good, LUP is also my fave Parquet Courts release, but I'd even say Human Performance is a bit better, really catchy.
>>63648981
I meant LUG, as for Light Up Gold hehe
can someone explain his significance to me?
i've started listening to his stuff recently and i'm definitely enjoying it, but besides the immense discography and self-awareness i feel like i'm missing something
>>63648853
Frontrunner of jazz fusion, talented guitarist, fantastic composer, burned through several genres of music throughout his career, made one of the most significant rock albums of 1966 and one of the most significant social commentaries of 1967, spoke out for his beliefs thereby gaining the attention of the libertarian party which resulted in them asking him to be their nominee for president, made movies, wrote stage productions for Broadway, worked with esteemed modern classical composers like Pierre Boulez, etcetcetc

Hey classicalfus, why doesn't anyone make opera productions like a film? I feel like there's probably a decent market for opera DVDs if they were more than just a glorified taping of a live performance. Why couldn't you direct and shoot one like a movie? Could you imagine Wagner with the staging, cinematography, and production quality of a film?

They definitely need to bring this back. Why did it only last a few years?
>>63648481
there's surely a few more out there that are similar to that sort've film-style, but i'm not particularly sure which those might be.
anyway, i don't know why it isn't commonly done. it's most likely an expensive endeavor, and you need to be able to find competent directors who are willing to do it as well.
I can blast pic related and STGSTV on highest volume with no pain or irritation.
What does that say about me
You have shit taste
You got the magic ears honeychild
>>63648211
you've reached the other side
Tried really hard to like this but I can't. What's the big deal?
tumblr - the album
90s top 40 funneled through a weird canadian female
i like it i grew up in 90s so i feel what she was going for
there is no big deal, it's a pop album catered to indie kids who read pitchfork
it's a regression from her previous work, which wasn't very good in the first place
don't fall into the trap of thinking shit like this is worthy of serious listening or critique, it's stale cotton candy in musical form
