Working on the album again, it has been a while because I've been busy with school. I have the week off before I start my next course though so I should be finishing it this week.

Picked up tide/edit - Lightfoot from the last thread

ITT: Musicians 16 year olds think are "deep"

I think that his description of people being unable to relate to his memories by way of being unable to sell scented candles was pretty clever.
It wasn't / it's not.
He verbalized something that literally everyone already knows.
The same way the smell of burned popcorn and menthol cigarettes reminds me of the used car dealership my dad used to own, everyone associates particular memories with sensations meaningless to other people.
Its pretty fucking shallow, actually.

I dunno. I had to pick something.
Like even hearing a metaphor at all in a song full of lyrics played completely straight is surprising and makes me like it more
>>63663089
I just disagree.
That shit is cringe-inducingly awful to me. Same story for this mess. It ends up being more of a novelty of how far the rabbit hole really doesn't go in terms of contemplation of the written component.
>2nd track is a 13 minute cover of 60's showtoons
Why do people pretend to like these hacks again?
>the whole album is circus music
what the fuck?
>the last track is the theme to a british sitcom
hmm
Anyone know any good indie electronica / indietronika like pic related?
Something I can play for the masses but get nudges from the indiebros and winks from the hipchix. Like LCD Soundsystem, maybe a little less top of the charts.
try One Life Crew

Mess was pretty good
I can't wait for Liars' next album

Does /mu/ like Lorde?
Is she the future of music like Bowie said?
>>63662848
No to both questions.
>>63662848
Bowie has some decent material, but a dude who just copies trends from other more important artists in the underground and latches onto more talented musicians in collaborations doesn't deserve to be able to talk about "the future of music".
>>63662913
>just copies trends from other more important artists in the underground and latches onto more talented musicians in collaborations
that actually implies bowie has a nose for talent and good taste so he does 'deserve to be able to talk' (what the fuck dude) about the future of music.
Recommend me intellectually stimulating jazz. Stuff that will keep my mind busy.

Obliged.
Which Youtube comments make you rage the most?
For me it's people who watch lets plays fagging up songs with their shite opinions and "xyz brought me here"
>>63662705
I hate when comments say they don't like Heathcliff
You say Justin Beiber I say Neutral Milk Hotel
You say Taylor Swift I say Joanna Newsom
You say Skrillex I say Aphex Twin
Like this comment if you listen to REAL music
>>63662817
I'm so glad people have stopped this shit.
There is no such thing as bad music just music you don't like.
>>63662513
+Radiohad, Bowie, Mogwai

This is quite alright. How much does it cost?
Albums where each song is progressively worse than the last.
